Abstract
SISTEMA PARA IMPLANTAR DISPOSITIVOS DE FIXAçãO ESPINHAL EM VéRTEBRAS ATRAVéS DE UMA ABERTURA EM UM PACIENTE. Um sistema para realizar um procedimento cirúrgico menos invasivo e, em particular, dispositivos e métodos para fixação espinhal. O sistema compreende ferramentas(s) de dilatação, pelo menos uma cânula de trabalho/inserção, uma pluralidade de parafusos, pelo menos uma haste de fixação para conectar os parafusos, e um dispositivo de inserção de haste. A(s) ferramenta(s) de dilatação pode(m) ser usada(s) para dilatar uma incisão feita em um paciente para formar uma abertura. Em seguida, uma broca pode ser usada para formar furos na vértebra. Uma cânula de inserção pode ser anexada a um parafuso e inserida na abertura. Os parafusos podem ser parafusos poliaxiais e podem ser inseridos na vértebra usando uma chave de fenda. Um operador pode então mover a cânula de inserção para manipular uma parte de cabeça dos parafusos, de maneira tal que as partes de cabeça possam ser alinhadas para receber uma haste de fixação. Um dispositivo de inserção de haste pode ser usado para inserir uma haste de fixação nas partes de cabeça. Depois que a haste de fixação estiver no lugar, ela pode ser travada nos parafusos, fixando assim o sistema no lugar na espinha.
