Abstract

PROCESSO PARA A PRODUÇçO DE ALFA- ALCàXI-âMEGA-HIDRàXI-POLIALQUILENOGLICàIS PUROS. A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a produção de <244>-alcóxi-<87>-hidróxi-polialquilenoglicóis, que leva a pequenas impurezas do produto <244>-<87>-dihidróxi-polialquilenoglicóis de peso molecular elevado. O processo baseia-se no emprego de álcoois iniciadores com ponto de ebulição elevado da seguinte estrutura geral R~ 2~-(OCH~ 2~CHR)~ k~ OH, na qual R~ 2~ representa um radical alquila com (1) até (4) átomos de carbono, preferentemente R~ 2~ = CH~ 3~, k representa um número de (1) até (10), preferentemente (1) até (4) e R H, CH~ 3~ ou um radical alquila com (2) até (4) átomos de carbono, preferentemente R = H, CH~ 3~. Através da utilização dos álcoois iniciadores mencionados, é possível secar a mistura de catalisador básico e álcool iniciador para teores de água muito baixos e com isso, produzir concentrações muito baixas de impurezas de <244>-<87>-dihidróxi-polialquilenoglicol incômodas.
