Abstract

MÉTODO PARA AUMENTAR O NéMERO DE CETANO DE UMA COMPOSIÇçO DE COMBUSTÍVEL DIESEL, E, USO DE UM FAAE EM UMA COMPOSIÇçO DE COMBUSTÍVEL DIESEL. Um método para aumentar o número de cetano de uma composição de combustível diesel, que contém uma proporção maior de um combustível de base diesel, a fim de alcançar um número de cetano X alvo, método este compreendendo adicionar ao combustível de base uma quantidade x de um alquil éster do ácido graxo (FAAE), tendo um número de cetano B maior do que o número de cetano A do combustível de base, em que x é menos do que a quantidade do FAAE que necessitaria ser adicionada ao combustível de base, a fim de obter-se o número de cetano X, se aplicadas normas de mistura linear; e uso de um FAAE em uma composição de combustível diesel, para fins de reduzir o nível de aditivos melhoradores de cetano da composição. A concentração do FAAE na composição total de combustível é preferivelmente de 0,05 a 25% v/v.
