Essa invenção é direcionada para a síntese estereosseletiva dos compostos de fórmula (1) ou de fórmula (II) ou um sal, éster, amida, complexo, quelato, clatrato, solvato, polimorfo, estereolsómero, metabólito, promedicamento deste farmaceuticamente aceitáveis; em que R^3^, R^4^ e R^5^ são aqui definidos. Compostos de fórmula (1) e de fórmula (II) são conhecidos por serem úteis no tratamento de arritmias.
