Abstract

COMPOSIçãO DE ADITIVO COMPREENDENDO UM POLìMERO AMIDIZADO OU IMIDIZADO. A invenção se refere a um processo para uma composição de aditivo compreendendo um polímero amidizado ou imidizado. A invenção se refere ainda a um aditivo de lubrificante multifuncional, altamente enxertado, útil para melhorar o índice de viscosidade e as propriedades de dispersão de uma composição de óleo lubrificante. A presente invenção também se refere a um método de estender os intervalos de drenagem de lubrificação e melhorar a economia de combustível e a durabilidade da economia de combustível. A composição de aditivo é preparada mediante: (A) a reação de um copolimero de olefina de etileno e pelo menos uma <244>-olefina C3 a C23 compreendendo de aproximadamente 15 a 80 mols por cento de etileno, a partir de aproximadamente 20 a 85 mols por cento da alfa-olefina C~3~ a C~23~ e de aproximadamente 0 a 15 por cento em peso de um polieno, o copolimero tendo um peso molecular médio numérico variando de 1.000 a 500.000, com um agente de acilação de ácido carboxílico olefínico, o processo compreendendo aquecer o polímero até uma condição derretida em uma temperatura na faixa de 60<198>C a 240<198>C, enxertar, em uma primeira extrusadora ou em um primeiro dispositivo de misturação, o agente de acilação carboxílico olefinico no copolímero, opcionalmente reduzindo subseqúentemente o peso molecular do copolímero em uma temperatura na faixa de 250<198>C a 350<198>C, desse modo produzindo um copolímero acilado de peso molecular reduzido enxertado tendo um peso molecular médio numérico variando de 1.000 a 80.000 e tendo pelo menos 0,2-20 moléculas do agente de acilação de ácido carboxílico enxertado por 1.000 átomos C do copolímero de olefina, e (B) reagir, em uma segunda extrusora ou em um segundo dispositivo de misturação, o copolímero acuado feito em (A) com uma poliamina.
