Abstract

PROCESSO DE RECUPERAçãO DE NìQUEL E COBALTO A PARTIR DE MINéRIOS LATERìTICOS EMPREGANDO RESINA DE TROCA IÈNICA E PRODUTO CONTENDO NìQUEL OU COBALTO. O processo segundo a invenção compreende as seguintes etapas: (a) beneficiamento (1) do minério laterítico (M) por britagem, escrubagem, atrição, classificação e por separação magnética de alta intensidade; (b) lixiviação (2) da fração não-magnética (CN) obtida através da etapa anterior ou (a); (c) opcionalmente: neutralização (3) do efluente resultante da lixiviação e/ou separação sólido-líquido (4); (d) tratamento dos efluentes obtidos através das etapas (b) ou (c) através de sistema híbrido de resina de troca iónica (5), sendo ao menos um circuito para recuperação de impurezas e ao menos um circuito para remoção de níquel e cobalto: (e) eluição (6) da resina de troca iónica empregada: (f) separação, purificação e recuperação (7) do níquel e cobalto.
