Claims (6)
- REIVINDICAÇÕES1. Processo híbrido de resinas de troca iônica na recuperação seletiva de níquel e cobalto de efluentes de lixiviação, compreendendo o processamento de minério laterítico por lixiviação, em que a lixiviação é uma lixiviação atmosférica ou lixiviação pressurizada, caracterizado pelo fato de que inclui um circuito híbrido de resina quelante ou catiônica e consiste de:- uma primeira etapa (3) de troca iônica com as resinas (Re) alimentadas com um primeiro efluente (El) com um valor de pH de não mais que 1 compreendendo impurezas incluindo ferro, alumínio e cobre, as resinas apresentando condições específicas de seletividade para absorção de ferro, alumínio e cobre e neutralizando o pH ao rejeitar níquel e cobalto de modo que o pH do efluente (E2) a partir da primeira etapa (3) seja elevado a um valor superior a 1;- uma segunda etapa (4) de troca iônica, em série com a primeira etapa (3) de troca iônica com resinas (Re) alimentadas com o efluente (E2) da primeira etapa, as resinas (Re) da segunda etapa absorvendo níquel e cobalto; e,- eluição (5) das resinas (Re) da segunda etapa (4) com íons de cobalto e níquel absorvidos para formar um eluato compreendendo níquel e cobalto; e, separação do níquel e cobalto no eluato através de extração (6) por solvente e recuperação dos metais em solução.

Processo de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado pelo fato de que o efluente (El), resultante do tratamento que alimenta a primeira etapa (3), é ácido (pH <2), e sob essas condições, com o uso de resina catiônica ou quelante apropriado, as impurezas (ferro, cobre e alumínio) são adsorvidas na resina (Re), enquanto o níquel e o cobalto permanecem na solução da primeira etapa (3).

Processo de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 1 ou 2, caracterizado pelo fato de que a resina (Re), sob as condições utilizadasPetição 870180002090, de 10/01/2018, pág. 19/212/2 na primeira etapa (3), apresenta adsorção preferencial ao ferro, cobre e alumínio em condições de alta acidez, além de conter preferencialmente íons móveis de metais alcalinos que são trocados pelos íons Fe3+, Al3+ e Cu2+, elevando o pH.

Processo de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 1 a 3, caracterizado pelo fato de que uma etapa intermediária de neutralização com reagente de base forte ocorre entre a primeira e a segunda etapas de troca iônica, com o objetivo de elevar o pH e proporcionar condições mais propícias e por isso, mais brandas de acidez, à solução (E2) que alimenta a segunda etapa responsável pela adsorção de níquel e cobalto.
- 5. Processo de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado pelo fato de que na segunda etapa (4) de resinas, que está em série com a primeira etapa (3) e é alimentada com o efluente (E2) da primeira etapa (3), a resina (Re) catiônica ou quelante, preferencialmente com grupo funcional de ácido iminodiacético, em condições mais brandas de acidez e sem a interferência de impurezas (ferro, alumínio e cobre), recupera de forma eficiente e seletiva o níquel e o cobalto da solução.
- 6. Processo de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado pelo fato de que após a segunda etapa (4), o processo segue as mesmas etapas que um processo convencional, assim, a resina (Re), que está carregada com íons de cobalto e níquel, passa por um processo de eluição (5), sendo regenerada com soluções inorgânicas e retomando à segunda etapa (4); depois da eluição (5), a separação de níquel e cobalto, caso desejada, é feita via extração (6) por solventes e os metais em solução recuperados na forma metálica ou em qualquer outra.Petição 870180002090, de 10/01/2018, pág. 20/211/2Minério (Μ) lateríticoCobalto Níquel produto produtoFIGURA 1Minério (Μ) lateríticoCobalto Níquel produto produtoFIGURA 2
