Abstract

MÉTODO PARA PRODUÇÃO DE 1,3-PROPANODIOL USANDO GLICEROL BRUTO, UM SUBPRODUTO DA PRODUÇÃO DE BIODIESEL. A presente invenção refere-se a um método para produção de 1,3-propanodiol compreendendo as etapas de: uso de glicerol bruto, um subproduto durante a produção de biodiesel, sem outro tratamento, como o substrato para produção de 1,3-propanodiol; inoculação de uma cepa que produz 1,3-propanodiol em um meio de cultura contendo glicerol bruto, um subproduto da produção de biodiesel; adição da cultura precursora em um meio de fermentação contendo glicerol bruto, um subproduto da produção de biodiesel e fermentação; manutenção do pH em uma faixa de 6,8 a 8,0; e, no final da fermentação, isolamento e purificação de 1,3-propanodiol.
