A presente invenção refere-se a uma composição de refratário básico contendo ortotitanato de magnésio (Mg~ 2~TiO~ 4~) e titanato de cálcio (CaTiO~ 3~) apropriada para utilização em fornos rotativos para a produção de cimento Portland ou cal.
