Abstract
APERFEIçOAMENTOS INTRODUZIDOS EM BROCA PARA PREPARO CERVICAL DOS CANAIS RADICULARES. Mais precisamente trata-se de aperfeiçoamentos em broca pertencente ao campo da endodontia ou prótese, a qual é dimensionada, tratada e conformada de maneira a apresentar um perfil cortante adequado para trabalhar desgastando lateralmente a dentina dos canais radiculares, reduzindo acidentes durante o ato operatório; a broca (1) apresenta-se conformada por setor cónico (S) e setor cortante (P) com diâmetro inicial menor (a) e diâmetro final maior (b), além de um comprimento de corte (c), sendo que o setor (P) é conformado, preferencialmente, com 04 (quatro) arestas de corte (2) e ponta inativa (não cortante) (3) para tratamento de canais radiculares e opcionalmente com ponta ativa (cortante) (4) para retratamento ou remoção de materiais obturadores de tratamentos endodónticos anteriores; completando a conformação da broca, o setor cortante (P) se desenvolve em setor cónico (S) que se interliga à base cilíndrica (D) de montagem no micro motor; as arestas de corte (2) são posicionadas preferencialmente a 900 do centro de giro, alinhadas axialmente em relação à conicidade e ao eixo de giro (E) do instrumento (1); as arestas de corte (2) possuem dois sentidos de corte, sendo eles: a) sentido no corte lateral, ou seja no sentido do raio do instrumento, tanto no avanço como no retorno e b) corte no sentido longitudinal ao eixo de giro (E), promovido pelo diâmetro maior da conicidade da área de corte que formam cantos vivos(Q).PERFORMANCE INTRODUCED IN DRILL FOR CERVICAL PREPARATION OF RADICULAR CHANNELS. More precisely, these are drill enhancements in the field of endodontics or prostheses, which are sized, treated and shaped to present a cutting profile suitable for working laterally wearing the dentin of the root canals, reducing accidents during the operation; the drill (1) is formed by the conical sector (S) and cutting sector (P) with smaller initial diameter (a) and larger final diameter (b), besides a cutting length (c), and the sector (P) is preferably formed with 04 (four) cutting edges (2) and inactive (non-cutting) tip (3) for root canal treatment and optionally with active (cutting) tip (4) for retreatment or removal of obturator materials from previous endodontic treatments; Completing the conformation of the drill, the cutting sector (P) develops into the tapered sector (S) which interconnects with the cylindrical base (D) mounted on the micro motor; the cutting edges (2) are preferably positioned at 900 ° from the center of rotation, axially aligned with respect to the taper and axis of rotation (E) of the instrument (1); the cutting edges (2) have two cutting directions, namely: a) direction in the lateral section, that is, in the direction of the radius of the instrument, both in advance and in return and b) section in the longitudinal direction of the axis of rotation (E ), promoted by the larger taper diameter of the cutting area forming sharp corners (Q).
