Abstract

APERFEIçOAMENTOS INTRODUZIDOS EM BROCA PARA PREPARO CERVICAL DOS CANAIS RADICULARES. Mais precisamente trata-se de aperfeiçoamentos em broca pertencente ao campo da endodontia ou prótese, a qual é dimensionada, tratada e conformada de maneira a apresentar um perfil cortante adequado para trabalhar desgastando lateralmente a dentina dos canais radiculares, reduzindo acidentes durante o ato operatório; a broca (1) apresenta-se conformada por setor cónico (S) e setor cortante (P) com diâmetro inicial menor (a) e diâmetro final maior (b), além de um comprimento de corte (c), sendo que o setor (P) é conformado, preferencialmente, com 04 (quatro) arestas de corte (2) e ponta inativa (não cortante) (3) para tratamento de canais radiculares e opcionalmente com ponta ativa (cortante) (4) para retratamento ou remoção de materiais obturadores de tratamentos endodónticos anteriores; completando a conformação da broca, o setor cortante (P) se desenvolve em setor cónico (S) que se interliga à base cilíndrica (D) de montagem no micro motor; as arestas de corte (2) são posicionadas preferencialmente a 900 do centro de giro, alinhadas axialmente em relação à conicidade e ao eixo de giro (E) do instrumento (1); as arestas de corte (2) possuem dois sentidos de corte, sendo eles: a) sentido no corte lateral, ou seja no sentido do raio do instrumento, tanto no avanço como no retorno e b) corte no sentido longitudinal ao eixo de giro (E), promovido pelo diâmetro maior da conicidade da área de corte que formam cantos vivos(Q).
