Abstract

CUBA DE ELETRóLISE DE OBTENçãO DE ALUMìNIO. A presente invenção refere-se a uma cuba de eletrólise (1) deobtenção de alumínio, compreendendo: uma caixa (2); pelo menos um bloco catódico (6) disposto pelo menos em parte na caixa (2); pelo menos um anodo (11), suspenso acima da cuba e mergulhado na parte superior da cuba de eletrólise; um isolante (3) que recobre pelo menos em parte a superfície interna da caixa (2) e situado entre o bloco catódico (6) e a caixa (2); a caixa e os elementos que ela contém delimitando um cadinho (10) destinado a acolher um banho de eletrólise em contato com o bloco catódico (6), caracterizada pelo fato de que o isolante (3) é realizado pelo menos em parte com o auxílio de blocos (14) à base de carbono, tendo uma condutividade térmica, inferior a 1 W/m/K.
