Abstract

EMBALAGEM FLEXIVEL EM MATéRIA PLáSTICA. A presente invenção refere-se a uma embalagem plástica para produtos líquidos ou viscosos, compreendendo três elementos distintos, a saber: uma parede lateral cilíndrica flexível, formada a partir de uma folha enrolada em torno de um mandril, um fundo pelo menos parcialmente rígido e uma parte superior pelo menos parcialmente rígida que compreende um gargalo; essa embalagem sendo adaptada para se apoiar sobre esse fundo e tendo uma altura H e um diâmetro D, cuja relação H/D se situa entre 1 e 5; a parede lateral e os dois outros elementos, quando de sua ligação, se apoiam sobre um mandril, disposto no interior da embalagem. A invenção se refere também a um processo de fabricação de uma embalagem tal como descrito anteriormente.

Description

Relatório Descritivo da Patente de Invenção para "EMBALA- GEM FLEXÍVEL EM MATÉRIA PLÁSTICA".
Domínio da Invenção
A presente invenção refere-se ao domínio das embalagens em matéria plástica constituídas principalmente de três elementos pré- fabricados, a saber de uma parede lateral que forma um corpo tubular com- preendida entre um fundo semi-rígido e um gargalo rígido. Essas embala- gens permitem aliar as propriedades funcionais das embalagens de tipos garrafas e de tipos bolsas flexíveis.
A presente invenção é particularmente destinada, mas não de forma exclusiva, às seguintes utilizações:
- acondicionamento de bebidas alimentares, tais como sucos de frutas, bebidas vitaminadas, leite, chá frio, etc;
- acondicionamento de produtos viscosos, tais como dentifrício, cremes de cuidados corporais, unções farmacêuticas, produtos alimentares
(maionese, ketchup, mostarda), etc;
- acondicionamento de produtos técnicos, tais como silicone ou mástique.
Estado da Técnica
Existem diversos tipos de embalagens correspondentes à defini- ção do capítulo precedente.
A título de exemplo, pode-se citar a embalagem divulgada no documento de Patente Austríaca AT 293 944 na qual uma cabeça semi- rígida é soldada a uma folha flexível enformada de tubo cilíndrico, de manei- ra a fabricar uma bolsa flexível reta. O Pedido de Patente EP 1 362 797 a- presenta também uma embalagem relativamente similar, na qual o corpo do recipiente pode comportar em suas duas extremidades das peças semi- rígidas complementares.
As embalagens do estado da técnica oferecem certamente nu- merosas vantagens, mas mostra-se que sua realização na prática não é faci- litada. Com efeito, a realização de embalagens flexíveis, que se comportam de maneira adequada à utilização, revela várias dificuldades que são princi- palmente ligadas a problemas de falta de rigidez e não consistência (grande variação das propriedades mecânicas e geométricas). Por exemplo, quando da produção da embalagem, os seguintes pontos são críticos: otimização das espessuras, das paredes, paletização a vácuo, transporte sobre as ca- deias de produção, enchimento, bujonamento, paletização após enchimento etc.
Quando da utilização da embalagem, outros pontos críticos de- vem ser levados em consideração, em particular: estabilidade da embala- gem, quando é colocada sobre seu fundo (freqüentemente as embalagens flexíveis não são perfeitamente retas), abertura sem risco de perda acidental do produto, possibilidade de fechar novamente a embalagem etc.
A maior parte desses pontos críticos são devido à dificuldade de produzir embalagens flexíveis, tendo suficiente rigidez mecânica.
Exposição Geral da Invenção
A presente invenção visa notadamente a prevenir os problemas pré-citados.
Para isso, ela se refere a uma embalagem plástica para produ- tos líquidos ou viscosos, compreendendo três elementos distintos, a saber: uma parede lateral cilíndrica flexível, formada a partir de uma folha enrolada em torno de um mandril, um fundo pelo menos parcialmente rígido e uma parte superior parcialmente rígida que compreende um gargalo; essa emba- lagem sendo adaptada para se apoiar sobre esse fundo e tendo uma altura H e um diâmetro D, cuja relação H/D se situa entre 1 e 5; a parede lateral e/ou os dois outros elementos apoiando-se sobre um mandril, quando de sua ligação.
Diversos modos de realização particularmente vantajosos da invenção são descritos nas reivindicações dependentes.
Convém destacar que a embalagem, de acordo com a invenção, oferece numerosas melhorias em relação ao estado da técnica (estabilidade, resistência mecânica etc) graças ao fato de seus componentes, quando de sua ligação, se apoiarem sobre um mandril.
Na ausência desse suporte, não é possível obter uma embala- gem com tanto desempenho.
Exposição Detalhada da Invenção
A invenção é descrita mais detalhadamente a seguir, por meio de exemplos ilustrados pelas seguintes figuras:
1) Parede lateral
2) Fundo
3) Parte superior
4) Gargalo
5) Primeiro mandril
6) Segundo mandril
7) Virola
8) Cilindro-suporte
9) Anel-suporte
A embalagem ilustrada nas figuras 1 e 2 compreende uma pare- de lateral 1 constituída de uma folha laminada enrolada, de um fundo 2 e de uma peça superior 3 ambos fixados na parede lateral 1.
A parte superior 3 é, de preferência, rígida, enquanto que o fun- do 2 é formado de um material plástico, de preferência semi-rígido.
No nível de seu gargalo 4, a embalagem é munida de uma virola 7 rígida que exerce a função de meio de manutenção, quando o tubo é des- locado anteriormente ou consecutivamente à ligação dos elementos que o compõem.
Para fixar a parte superior 3 na parede lateral 1 (figura 1), dis- põe-se previamente um mandril 5 sobre o qual os dois elementos 1,3 podem se apoiar.
Da mesma forma (figura 2), para fixar o fundo 3 na parede late- ral, dispõe-se previamente um mandril 6 sobre o qual a parte central do fun- do 2 se apoia. Além disso, a embalagem é mantida no lugar por meio de um cilindro-suporte 8 e de um anel-suporte 9.
A utilização de mandris 5, 6 dispostos no interior da embalagem, quando da soldagem da parte superior 3 e do fundo 2 na parede lateral 1, é de uma grande importância para pelo menos duas razões:
1) posicionamento muito preciso dos elementos 1-3 uns em rela- ção aos outros e assim assegura a fabricação de embalagens consistentes, de maneira reprodutível, que mantêm perfeitamente reto sobre seu fundo;
2) aplicação de uma força regular e constante, quando da ope- ração de soldagem, o que permite obter soldaduras de qualidade.
Os mandris 5, 6 devem ter um diâmetro inferior ou igual ao diâ- metro da parede lateral 1. Vantajosamente, os mandris são dispostos em uma distância sensivelmente equivalente à altura da parede lateral. Seu comprimento é, portanto, de preferência pelo menos igual à altura da parede lateral. De preferência também, eles devem ser de diâmetro o maior possível para assegurar um posicionamento preciso e sobretudo uma força máxima, quando das operações de soldagem. Com efeito, a zona de soldagem entre a parte superior 3 (respectivamente, o fundo 2) com a parede lateral 1 situ- ando-se sobre o contorno externo da peça 3 (respectivamente 2), portanto é preferível, quando da operação de soldagem, aplicar a pressão por intermé- dio do mandril 5 (respectivamente 6) o mais perto possível dessa zona de soldagem.
No caso da soldagem da parte superior 3 na parede lateral 1, o mandril 5 pode ter vantajosamente um diâmetro igual ao diâmetro da parede lateral 1, pois a extremidade inferior da parede lateral é completamente libe- rada.
Ao contrário, quando da soldagem do fundo 2, o mandril 6 tem um diâmetro determinado pela abertura do gargalo 4. É preferível utilizar um mandril de diâmetro exatamente inferior à dimensão da abertura do gargalo 4.
De acordo com um outro modo de fabricação, conforme a inven- ção, solda-se em uma primeira etapa o fundo 2 na parede lateral com o auxí- lio de um primeiro mandril de diâmetro igual ao diâmetro da parede lateral. Nesse caso, o fundo deve comportar uma abertura, de maneira que, em se- guida, seja possível soldar a parte superior 3 na parede cilíndrica com o au- xílio de um segundo mandril que passa através da abertura do fundo (esse segundo mandril tendo um diâmetro inferior a essa abertura). Em última eta- pa, uma tampa ou uma peça rígida é soldada sobre o fundo 2, de maneira a fechar a abertura do fundo.
A embalagem, de acordo com a presente invenção, apresenta a vantagem de utilizar apenas o mínimo de matéria necessária para lhe asse- gurar os desempenhos; isto é, em cada local a quantidade de matéria utili- zada (portanto, a espessura das paredes nesse lugar) é otimizada. A maior parte da embalagem é constituída pela parede lateral cilíndrica 1 que é com- posta a partir de uma folha flexível fina. Essa parede 1 deve proteger o pro- duto embalado do exterior e pode servir como suporte para a decoração grá- fica e textual. Do ponto de vista mecânico, essa parede 1 deve ser suficien- temente rígida para não se deformar sob o peso do produto. As extremida- des (parte superior 3 e fundo 2) fornecem a rigidez e a resistência à embala- gem e são, pelo menos parcialmente, rígidas à parede mais espessa. O fun- do 2 deve permitir colocar a embalagem de maneira estável e reta. O garga- lo 4 permite suportar um sistema de fechamento amovível, tal como um bu- jão (parafusado ou clipsado) ou de uma tampa soldada. Para uma manipula- ção facilitada do sistema de fechamento, é necessário que o gargalo 4 tenha uma certa rigidez. Por outro lado, o gargalo 4 permite o enchimento da em- balagem, após fabricação. Uma vantagem da presente invenção é de forne- cer a rigidez mecânica da embalagem para o enchimento por intermédio de uma virola 7 solidária ao gargalo 4. A virola 7 torna possível a manipulação da embalagem sobre a máquina para encher, assim como a manutenção do gargalo 4, quando da instalação do sistema de fechamento. Para uma boa manutenção do gargalo 4, é preferível ter uma virola 7 de largura superior a 2 mm e de espessura superior a 1 mm. Tipicamente, esses elementos são em matéria plástica, tal como poliolefinas (PE ou PP). Esses elementos po- dem ser mono- ou multicamada e são produzidos dentre outros por injeção moldagem, compressão moldagem ou termoenformação. Para que suas propriedades mecânicas sejam suficientes para permitir obter uma embala- gem com bom desempenho, esses elementos comportam, de preferência, pelo menos localmente uma espessura superior ou igual a 1 mm.
Além disso, uma embalagem com parede flexível, de acordo com a presente invenção, apresenta a vantagem de poder recorrer a folhas laminadas, previamente impressas como elemento de parede. Essas folhas são produzidas usualmente por laminação de películas extrudadas (ou co- extrudadas) e/ou de películas sopradas. Essas folhas comportam películas que podem ser soldadas constituídas normalmente de poliolefinas (PE ou PP) e podem também comportar películas funcionais para melhorar as pro- priedades mecânicas (OPP, PET, PA, PS) e as propriedades barreiras (PET, EVOH, PVDC, SiOX, AIOx, alumínio). Essas folhas laminadas apresentam a vantagem de poderem ser impressas planamente, antes de confeccionar a embalagem e sobretudo obter paredes flexíveis de espessura muito fina en- tre 100 e 400 mícrons e muito regulares (com variações de espessura inferi- ores a 10 mícrons). A finesa é a consistência da espessura da parede flexí- vel permitem obter uma embalagem que tem um pequeno custo em matéria, assegurando seus desempenhos.

Claims (7)

1. Embalagem plástica para produtos líquidos ou viscosos, com- preendendo três elementos distintos, a saber: uma parede lateral cilíndrica flexível (1), formada a partir de uma folha enrolada em torno de um mandril, um fundo (2) pelo menos parcialmente rígido e uma parte superior (3) pelo menos parcialmente rígida que compreende um gargalo (4); essa embala- gem sendo adaptada para se apoiar sobre esse fundo (2) e tendo uma altura H e um diâmetro D1 cuja relação H/D se situa entre 1 e 5; caracterizada pelo fato de ser obtida por um processo no qual a parede lateral (1) e/ou os dois outros elementos (2,3), quando de sua ligação, se apoiam sobre um mandril (5,6), disposto no interior da embalagem.
2. Embalagem, de acordo com a reivindicação precedente, cuja parede lateral (1) forma um ângulo com o fundo que se situa entre 89Q e 91e.
3. Embalagem, de acordo com uma das reivindicações prece- dentes, compreendendo meios de manipulação (7) no nível desse gargalo (4).
4. Embalagem, de acordo com a reivindicação precedente, na qual esses meios de manipulação são uma virola (7) solidária a esse gargalo (4), de largura superior a 2 mm e de espessura superior a 1 mm.
5. Embalagem, de acordo com uma das reivindicações prece- dentes, da qual pelo menos 95% dessa parede lateral (1) é de espessura constante e compreendida entre 100 e 400 mícrons; a variação dessa es- pessura sendo inferior a mais ou menos 10 mícrons.
6. Embalagem, de acordo com uma das reivindicações prece- dentes, cujo fundo (2) e cuja parte superior (3) comportam pelo menos lo- calmente uma espessura superior ou igual a 1 mm.
7. Procedimento de fabricação de uma embalagem como defini- da em qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, caracterizado pelo fato de que a parede lateral (1), o fundo (2) e a parte superior (3), quando de sua montagem, apóiam-se sobre um mandril (5, 6) disposto no interior da emba- lagem.
