Abstract
PRÉ-FORMA PARA UM RECIPIENTE PRODUZIDO POR MOLDAGEM POR SOPRO COM ESTIRAMENTO. A presente invenção refere-se a uma pré-forma (1) para fazer uma embalagem por meio de moldagem por sopro, que compreende três componentes separados, unidos um ao outro, a saber, uma parede lateral (3), uma base (4) e uma parte superior (2) que compreende uma abertura, caracterizada pelo fato de a espessura da parede lateral (3) ser menor do que a espessura da base (4). A invenção também refere-se relativa a uma embalagem obtida por meio de moldagem por sopro de dita pré-forma (1).
Description
Relatório Descritivo da Patente de Invenção para "PRÉ-FORMA PARA UM RECIPIENTE PRODUZIDO POR MOLDAGEM POR SOPRO COM ESTIRAMENTO".
Campo da invenção
A presente invenção refere-se a recipientes plásticos produzidos
por moldagem por sopro de uma pré-forma em um molde. A presente refere- se também a invenção relativa a uma pré-forma e a sua modalidade para produzir recipientes por moldagem por sopro com estiramento em um molde e a embalagens obtidas por moldagem por sopro de tais pré-formas. A in- venção torna possível utilizar uma ampla variedade de resinas e torna possí- vel obter recipientes de paredes muito finas.
A presente invenção é projetada de maneira particular, porém não-exclusiva, para as seguintes utilizações:
- embalagem para bebidas tais como suco de frutas, bebidas vitaminadas, leite, chá gelado, etc.;
- embalagem de produtos viscosos tais como pasta de dente, cremes para cuidado corporal, ungüentos farmacêuticos, produtos alimentí- cios (maionese, ketchup, mostarda, etc.;
- embalagem de produtos técnicos tais como silicone ou almé-
cega.
Técnica precedente
Na indústria de embalagens plásticas produzidas por moldagem por sopro de uma pré-forma é convencional moldar por injeção uma pré- forma, dita pré-forma compreendendo um pescoço, uma parede lateral e uma base. Esta pré-forma tem diversas vantagens: ela pode ser de uma úni- ca camada ou de diversas camadas, ela pode ser fabricada em altas veloci- dades em um molde de diversas impressões, e ela permite uma ampla vari- edade de geometria de embalagem.
O recipiente obtido por moldagem por sopro de dita pré-forma compreende três partes separadas, a saber, uma parte superior que com- preende um pescoço, o uma base sobre a qual o recipiente repousa, e pare- des laterais que conectam o pescoço à base. O pescoço permite a função de abertura/ fechamento do recipiente, ao mesmo tempo em que garante es- tanqueidade. O pescoço contém geralmente dispositivo para manipular a pré-forma ou o recipiente moldado por sopro, dito dispositivo sendo utilizado durante moldagem por sopro da pré-forma e também durante enchimento do recipiente. As diversas funções do pescoço, tais como estanqueidade e a- bertura/fechamento, requerem grande precisão em sua geometria.
O Pedido de Patente Japonesa JP 62-051423A descreve pré- formas que podem ser compostas de, no mínimo, duas partes separadas, por exemplo, uma base e uma parede lateral, ou uma parte superior e uma parede lateral.
As técnicas de moldagem, em particular aquelas descritas na técnica precedente anteriormente mencionada, tornam impossível obter de maneira simultânea paredes laterais que têm uma pequena espessura e as propriedades anteriormente mencionadas no pescoço. Esta dificuldade está ligada, em particular, aos limites do processo de moldagem por injeção e a dificuldade de moldar paredes laterais que tenham uma pequena espessura ao mesmo tempo em que obtém grande precisão no pescoço. Está também ligada ao fato que até hoje tem sido buscado, de maneira sistemática, obter uma base e uma parede lateral da mesma espessura. Durante o processo para fabricar pré-formas utilizando exclusivamente moldagem por injeção, a resina termoplástica injetada para o interior da cavidade de molde enche progressivamente a base, então as paredes laterais e, finalmente, escoa para o interior do pescoço. É difícil obter um pescoço muito preciso se a es- pessura da parede lateral é menor do que aquela do pescoço, uma vez que a resina injetada é resfriada mais rapidamente nas paredes laterais e impede enchimento suficiente do pescoço. Portanto, é claramente evidente que exis- tem limites com relação à espessura das paredes laterais, e estas últimas não podem ser muito menores do que aquelas do pescoço.
O Pedido de Patente WO 2005/066027 propõe solucionar o problema anteriormente mencionado graças a uma pré-forma formada unindo duas partes, a primeira parte sendo o pescoço e a segunda parte sendo a cavida- de formada pela parede lateral e a base. De acordo com o Pedido de Paten- te WO 2005/066027 as duas partes das pré-formas são fabricadas de ma- neira independente por meio de moldagem por injeção. Uma vantagem da aplicação anteriormente mencionada se situa na possibilidade de produzir embalagens que são de parede fina, e que são enchidas em alta temperatu- ra. A produção de uma pré-forma que tem uma parede lateral de pequena espessura torna possível impedir encolhimento e deformação severa da em- balagem durante enchimento a quente.
O Pedido de Patente WO 2005/066027 torna possível uma ampla va- riedade de recipientes moldados por sopro fabricando a pré-forma em duas partes; contudo, este Pedido de Patente não soluciona os problemas associ- ados com a base do recipiente. Uma pessoa versada na técnica sabe que a base do recipiente é muitas vezes a parte a mais frágil da embalagem. Esta fragilidade é apresentada pela rachadura da base quando o recipiente é der- rubado e pela baixa resistência desta parte do recipiente durante a ação combinada de tensões físicas e químicas (rachadura por tensão).
Devido à geometria de pré-formas correntes, não é possível produzir recipientes por moldagem por sopro com uma ampla variedade de resinas tais como poliolefinas (PE, PP), poliamidas (PA-6), resinas barreira (EVOH, PA-MXD1 PVDC). A técnica precedente torna impossível produzir recipientes moldados por sopro que compreendem mais do que três resinas em uma estrutura de diversas camadas. Ao mesmo tempo por razões técnicas e e- conômicas, pode ser vantajoso ter um número mais elevado de camadas na embalagem.
Sumário geral da invenção A invenção torna possível solucionar os problemas anteriormen-
te mencionados; em particular torna possível obter por meio de moldagem por sopro de uma pré-forma, recipientes que têm paredes laterais ultrafinas com uma ampla variedade de resinas, ao mesmo tempo em que mantém uma base relativamente espessa. A invenção torna possível obter embala- gens que têm pequena espessura com um grande número de camadas e possibilita uma grande combinação de estruturas de diversas camadas.
A invenção consiste em produzir uma pré-forma feita a partir de no mínimo três partes, a primeira parte formando o pescoço, a segunda par- te formando a parede lateral e a última parte formando uma base, as três partes sendo unidas para formar dita pré-forma. A pré-forma de acordo com a invenção é caracterizada pelo fato de a espessura da parede lateral ser menor do que a espessura da base e a espessura da parte superior.
Uma modalidade da invenção consiste em utilizar uma pré-forma que tem um desenho, dito desenho sendo geralmente impresso na superfí- cie ou na espessura da parede da pré-forma. Geralmente, apenas a segun- da parte de dita pré-forma que forma a parede lateral tem um desenho im- presso.
Sumário detalhado da invenção
A invenção está descrita em mais detalhe daqui em diante por meio de exemplos ilustrados pelas figuras a seguir. As figuras 1 e 2 ilustram uma pré-forma de três partes de acordo
com a técnica precedente (JP 62-051423A).
As figuras 3 e 4 mostram geometrias de pré-formas que corres- pondem à invenção.
As figuras 5 e 6 correspondem a uma modalidade preferencial da invenção. A figura 5 mostra a pré-forma que corresponde à modalidade preferencial e a figura 6 ilustra o recipiente obtido depois de moldagem por sopro.
A figura 1 ilustra a produção de uma pré-forma a partir da técni- ca precedente, feita de diversas partes; a saber, um pescoço 2, paredes Ia- terais 3 e uma base 4. O pescoço 2 é geralmente moldado por injeção ou moldado por compressão para obter grande precisão para esta parte da pré- forma. As paredes laterais 3 podem ser moldadas por injeção ou moldadas por compressão ou extrudadas em forma tubular, ou ainda conformadas a partir de uma folha soldada. A base 4 pode ser moldada por moldagem por injeção ou moldagem por compressão ou fabricada por termoconformação.
A figura 2 mostra a pré-forma 1 a partir da figura 1 obtida unindo o pescoço 2, paredes laterais 3 e base 4. A união pode ser realizada por meio de soldagem, por meio de ajustamento mecânico das diversas partes, ou por ligação.
A figura 3 mostra uma geometria de pré-forma de acordo com a invenção obtida por união. Esta pré-forma compreende um pescoço 2, uma parede lateral 3 e uma base 4. O diâmetro interno da parede lateral 3 é mai- or do que o diâmetro do pescoço 2, o que torna esta pré-forma impossível de produzir por meio de moldagem, por meio de moldagem por injeção, ou por meio de moldagem por compressão.
A figura 4 ilustra uma outra geometria de pré-forma que tem uma parede lateral 3 de espessura pequena em relação ao pescoço 2.
As figuras 3 e 4 ilustram uma grande vantagem da invenção que a torna possível para produzir pré-formas que têm paredes laterais de pe- quena espessura em relação ao pescoço ou à base. Estas pré-formas de parede fina tornam possível obter embalagens moldadas por sopro com pro- priedades vantajosas.
A invenção é particularmente vantajosa para produzir recipientes de paredes ultrafinas.
A invenção é particularmente vantajosa para produzir recipientes moldados por sopro que têm propriedades de barreira elevadas, ditos recipi- entes permitindo a preservação de produtos sensíveis.
A invenção é particularmente vantajosa para produzir recipientes que podem ser enchidos em temperatura elevada, dita temperatura de reen- chimento estando acima de 80 °C.
As figuras 5 e 6 ilustram uma outra modalidade preferencial da invenção. A pré-forma que corresponde à modalidade preferencial está ilus- trada na figura 5. Esta pré-forma 1 um compreende um pescoço 2, uma base 4 e uma parede lateral 3 de pequena espessura, conectada à base e ao pescoço. As paredes laterais 3 da pré-forma têm uma espessura de menos do que 400 micra e são fabricadas por meio de extrusão. A parede lateral 3 é soldada à base e ao pescoço 2.
A invenção torna possível produzir recipientes que têm uma pa- rede lateral com uma espessura menor do que 0,3 mm e que tem uma rela- ção de estiramento de menos do que 5. No caso de uma parede lateral obti- da por meio de soldagem de um filme a si mesmo, a relação de estiramento radial é geralmente menor do que 2. Um exemplo deste recipiente de parede fina está ilustrado na figura 6. Este recipiente pode ser de uma única cama- da ou de diversas camadas. Ele pode ser produzido com uma ampla varie- dade de resinas. A guisa de exemplo, esta embalagem pode conter resinas poliéster (PET, PEN), poliolefinas (PE, PP), resinas poliamida, resinas que possibilitam que as propriedades de barreira sejam aprimoradas (EVOH, PVDC, PA-MXD6). Este recipiente também pode conter camadas metálicas tais como, por exemplo, uma camada de alumínio.
A invenção torna possível produzir um recipiente no qual a es- pessura das paredes laterais é menor do que 0,2 mm. A pré-forma torna possível obter este recipiente tendo paredes laterais cuja espessura é menor do que 0,4 mm.
A invenção oferece especialmente a vantagem de produzir em-
balagens moldadas por sopro que não têm um eixo de simetria. A invenção torna possível, por exemplo, produzir recipientes que têm uma seção trans- versal quadrada a partir de pré-formas que têm uma seção transversal qua- drada. De maneira similar, recipientes que têm uma seção transversal oval podem ser produzidos a partir de uma pré-forma que tem uma seção trans- versal oval.
Uma outra vantagem da invenção é a integração de função no pescoço ou na base. Por exemplo, a invenção torna possível fabricar uma pré-forma que compreende um pescoço com uma tampa, o pescoço e a tampa sendo conectados por uma articulação e formando apenas uma única parte.
Uma modalidade particularmente vantajosa da invenção consiste em fornecer à pré-forma um desenho impresso. Durante moldagem por so- pro da pré-forma, o desenho deforma juntamente com a parede e o desenho final é obtido sobre a embalagem moldada por sopro. O desenho impresso na pré-forma leva em consideração a deformação do desenho durante a moldagem por sopro. O método para fabricar as pré-formas consiste em fabricar sepa- radamente as três partes de dita pré-forma, a saber, o pescoço, a base e as paredes laterais. Estas três partes são unidas. De acordo com uma modali- dade preferencial da invenção, estas partes são unidas por meio de solda- gem, cada uma das partes compreendendo, no mínimo no local de união, uma camada na superfície que possibilita a união por meio de soldagem.
As partes também podem ser unidas por ação mecânica (apara- fusamento, fixação por encaixe, ajustamento, etc.).
Para unir partes por meio de soldagem é vantajoso utilizar um pescoço e uma base feitos de PE ou PP, dito pescoço e dita base sendo soldados sobre as paredes laterais que compreendem no mínimo uma ca- mada feita de PE ou PP na superfície interna. O pescoço e a base são van- tajosamente moldados por injeção ou moldados por compressão. As pare- des laterais são extrudadas. É vantajoso produzir as paredes laterais a partir de um filme soldado a si mesmo para formar um corpo cilíndrico. O filme que forma dito corpo cilíndrico geralmente compreende diversas camadas. Uma modalidade particularmente vantajosa da invenção consiste em utilizar um filme impresso para formar o corpo cilíndrico. Dito filme pode ser impresso plano, o que torna possível produzir desenhos de alta qualidade a custos reduzidos. Quando o filme compreende diversas camadas, o desenho pode ser localizado na superfície de dito filme ou na espessura de dito filme, na interface entre duas camadas. Partindo de um filme de diversas camadas impresso, uma modalidade da invenção, portanto, torna possível obter uma pré-forma cujo desenho está localizado na superfície ou está aprisionado dentro da espessura de sua parede lateral.
O método para moldar por sopro a pré-forma consiste em de- formar apenas as paredes laterais, a base e o pescoço não sendo deforma- dos. As uniões entre as diversas partes da pré-forma também são protegidas durante a moldagem por sopro, de modo que estas uniões não são defor- madas.
O método para moldar por sopro consiste em aquecer as pare- des laterais da dita pré-forma e em formar a embalagem moldando por sopro e estiramento a dita pré-forma em um molde.
O método para moldar pré-formas por sopro de acordo com a modalidade preferencial da invenção compreende, opcionalmente uma fase de aquecer as pré-formas, dita fase de aquecer sendo fortemente reduzida considerando a pequena espessura das paredes laterais da pré-forma. Ape- nas as paredes laterais da pré-forma são aquecidas; as uniões entre as pa- redes laterais e o pescoço e a base não são aquecidas. As pré-formas são então moldadas por sopro em um molde, apenas as paredes laterais de dita pré-forma deformam durante a moldagem por sopro. O método para moldar por sopro a pré-forma, de acordo com a modalidade preferencial da inven- ção, consiste em não estirar a dita pré-forma no molde, de modo que a altura do recipiente produzido é equivalente à altura da pré-forma. As paredes late- rais de dita pré-forma são, portanto, deformadas apenas radialmente. Foi descoberto que é vantajoso moldar por sopro estas pré-formas com uma relação de deformação de menos do que 2. Também foi descoberto que de- vido à espessura reduzida das paredes laterais de dita pré-forma é possível, em certos casos, não aquecer as paredes laterais da pré-forma antes da moldagem por sopro. Moldagem por sopro de uma pré-forma com uma rela- ção de deformação de menos do que 2 e na temperatura ambiente é particu- Iarmente vantajosa quando a pré-forma é impressa. É observado que quan- do a parede lateral da pré-forma compreende uma camada de alumínio em sua espessura, a moldagem por sopro da pré-forma sem aquecimento prévio é facilitada. Quando uma operação de aquecimento é requerida para molda- gem por sopro da pré-forma impressa, a utilização de ar quente é geralmen- te preferível a aquecimento radiante.
Claims (21)
1. Pré-forma (1) para fazer uma embalagem por meio de molda- gem por sopro, que compreende três componentes separados unidos um ao outro, a saber, uma parede lateral (3), uma base (4) e uma parte superior (2) que compreende uma abertura, caracterizada pelo fato de a espessura da parede lateral (3) ser menor do que a espessura da base (4) e menor do que a espessura da parte superior (2).
2. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com a reivindicação 1, na qual a pa- rede lateral (3) é flexível.
3. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com a reivindicação 2, na qual a pa- rede lateral (3) tem uma espessura de menos do que 400 micra.
4. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com a reivindicação 2 ou 3, na qual a parede lateral (3) é composta de um laminado.
5. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com a reivindicação 2 ou 3, na qual a parede lateral (3) é formada por meio de extrusão.
6. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, na qual a base (4) e a parte superior (2) são moldadas por in- jeção ou moldadas por compressão.
7. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, na qual no mínimo dois componentes são unidos por meio de soldagem.
8. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, na qual no mínimo dois componente são unidos por meio de fixação por encaixe.
9. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações precedentes, na qual a espessura da parte superior (2) é duas vezes maior do que a espessura da parede lateral (3).
10. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindica- ções precedentes, na qual a parede lateral (2) é de diversas camadas.
11. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindica- ções precedentes, na qual o diâmetro interno da abertura é menor do que o diâmetro interno da parede lateral (3).
12. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindica- ções precedentes, na qual a parede lateral (3) é cilíndrica.
13. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindica- ções precedentes, na qual a parede lateral (3) tem uma seção transversal oval.
14. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindica- ções 1 até 7, na qual a parede lateral (3) tem uma seção transversal poligo- nal.
15. Pré-forma (1) de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindica- ções precedentes, na qual a parede lateral (3) compreende um desenhou impresso.
16. Método para moldar por sopro uma pré-forma (1) que com- preende, no mínimo, três componentes separados soldados um ao outro, a saber, uma parede lateral (3), uma base (4) e uma parte superior (2) que compreende uma abertura; o método consistindo em deformar a dita pré- forma por meio de moldagem por sopro na cavidade de um molde; o método caracterizado pelo fato de apenas a parede lateral (3) ser deformada por moldagem por sopro, por a relação de estiramento axial da pré-forma ser menor do que 1,1 e por a relação de estiramento radial da pré-forma ser menor do que 5.
17. Método de acordo com a reivindicação 16, que consiste em não deformar a parede lateral (3) na união com a base e a parte superior.
18. Método de acordo com a reivindicação 16 ou 17, que consis- te em moldar por sopro a dita pré-forma (1) em temperatura ambiente na cavidade de molde.
19. Método de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 16 a 18, que consiste em aquecer apenas a parede lateral (3) de dita pré-forma (1) antes de moldar por sopro.
20. Método de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 16 a 19, que consiste em bloquear axialmente a base (4) e a parte superior (2) durante a moldagem por sopro, para impedir um alongamento de dita pré- forma (1).
21. Embalagem obtida moldando por sopro uma pré-forma (1) como definida em qualquer uma das reivindicações 1 a 15, caracterizada pelo fato de sua parede lateral (3) compreender, no mínimo, duas partes ci- líndricas, uma primeira sendo localizada na união entre a parede lateral (3) e a base (4) e a segunda sendo localizada na união entre a parede lateral (3) e a parte superior (2); por o diâmetro de ditas partes cilíndricas ser idêntico, e pelo fato de a relação entre o diâmetro máximo e o diâmetro nas uniões ser menor do que 5.
