As barras de sabão foram lavadas sob condições controladas por uma equipe de 5 operadores treinados por 4 dias sucessivos, cada operador manipulou cada barra uma vez ao dia. Uma única lavagem envolveu a imersão do tablete em cerca de 2 litros de água (mudada para cada tablete) por 15 segundos e então tornando a esfregar o tablete nas bordas e com as mãos a 180 graus, 40 vezes.
