Com o dispositivo para corte de furo profundo, alta precisão de usinagempode ser obtida emumestado de corte estável, e a vida útil do coxim-guia é aumentada. Um coxim-guia (7) é formado emuma superfície circular (71a) cuja superfície externa formauma seção de crista superior (7a) ao longo daporção central na direção da largura, e o coxim-guia é diagonalmente anexado a uma seção de cabeça de corte (10a), de modo que o lado de extremidade condutora da ferramenta esteja mais próximo do lado frontal em uma direção de rotação da ferramenta (y) se comparado com o lado de extremidade posterior da ferramenta.
