Abstract
CATETER COM PONTA óTICA ONIDIRECIONAL DOTADO DE TRAJETOS óTICOS ISOLADOS. A presente invenção refere-se a um cateter que permite medições de luz em tempo real, por exemplo, sem limitação, refletância difusa, fluorescência, etc., a partir de materiais biológicos, tais como tecido (incluindo sangue), enquanto realiza ablação por RF. A configuração da ponta do cateter isola os trajetos de iluminação e de coleta de modo que a luz sai pela ponta do cateter e percorre através do tecido de interesse (por exemplo, tecido cardíaco ou sangue) antes de retornar para a ponta do cateter. A referida configuração vantajosamente evita a saturação do detector ótico, e garante a difusão da luz de iluminação dentro do meio de interesse. O cateter é dotado de um corpo de cateter e um eletrodo de ponta. O eletrodo de ponta é dotado de um invólucro externo, uma camada interna de material difuso e uma cavidade oca, em que a camada interna é configurada para transmitir luz para fora do eletrodo de ponta a um tecido por meio de um conjunto de aberturas de iluminação na parede do invólucro e a cavidade oca é configurada para receber luz a partir do tecido por meio de um conjunto de aberturas de coleta na parede do invólucro e a camada interna. Uma superfície interna da camada interna é dotada de um revestimento opaco para isolar a luz injetada na camada interna a partir da luz coletada na cavidade oca. Há um primeiro guia de onda ótico que se estende entre o corpo de cateter e o eletrodo de ponta para injetar a luz dentro da camada interna e iluminar o tecido, e um segundo guia de onda ótico que se estende entre o corpo de cateter e o eletrodo de ponta para coletar a luz recapturada na cavidade oca.
