Abstract
DESENVOLVIMENTO DE ESCóRIA SINTéTICA SINTERIZADA PARA O CONTROLE DO TEOR DE ENXOFRE DE AçOS E LIGAS METáLICAS. A dita escória sintética sinterizada possui a seguinte especificação química e física: Elemento/Componente - Composição química(% em massa) CaO 20-65 MgO 25(máximo) SiO2 10 a 50; AI203 3,5 (máximo); Fe2O3 15(máximo) FeO 10(máximo) Enxofre(S) 1(máximo) Carbono(C) 1 (máximo) Especificação física 5 a 1OOmm - tolerância: 5,0% menor que 5mm e 5,0% maior que 1OOmm.DEVELOPMENT OF SYNTHESIZED SYNTHETIC SLAG FOR THE CONTROL OF THE SULFUR CONTENT OF ACOS AND METALLIC ALLOYS. Sintered synthetic slag for controlling the sulfur content of steels and alloys that need to keep a certain sulfur content under control provides better control of the sulfur content of steel or alloys in the manufacturing process of these materials. Other benefits with the use of the present invention have been observed. With the use of the sintered synthetic slag product, object of the patent application: - the addition of slag in the process was eliminated by overhead crane, and the addition via silo was adopted due to the stability of lime and other components; - the addition of the previous unsintered synthetic slag containing sulfur in its constitution was eliminated, a practice used to minimize the effect of steel desulphurization during refining - no metal desulphurization (sulfur removal) occurred due to lime being chemically combined with other components such as SiO ~ 2 ~ and Fe ~ 2 ~ O ~ 3 ~, enabling better, easier control and narrowing of the steel sulfur range and saving on the addition of sulfur-based alloys for fine adjustment of this element. during steelmaking. Thus, the time for steel processing decreases; - the risk of scrapping out-of-range sulfur runs during the manufacture of steel or alloy has been reduced by 100% due to the stability achieved for sulfur during the production of steel or alloy. - Lower temperature loss and lower consumption of inert gases used in the manufacture of steel or alloy were achieved, because when sintered synthetic slag is added together with the alloy, gas is passed into the pan once and not twice as before. ; - The final aluminum grades in GO steel have been reduced due to the higher purity of the present invention, ensuring higher quality of steel and alloy; - better adjustment of the chemical composition of the overall process slag, allowing better control of basicity; - better control of MgO content, allowing less wear of the pan refractory lining; - the consumption of sulfur-based alloys such as Fe-S was reduced to adjust the final sulfur content of the steel or alloy; Narrowing of the specified range for the sulfur element of the steel or alloy has been achieved due to the ease and control provided with the use of the present invention. Said sintered synthetic slag has the following chemical and physical specification: Element / Component - Chemical composition (% by mass) CaO 20-65 MgO 25 (maximum) SiO2 10 to 50; AI203 3.5 (maximum); Fe2O3 15 (maximum) FeO 10 (maximum) Sulfur (S) 1 (maximum) Carbon (C) 1 (maximum) Physical specification 5 to 100mm - tolerance: 5.0% less than 5mm and 5.0% greater than 100mm.
