Abstract

método para conversão de materiais lignocelulósicos em substâncias químicas úteis a presente invenção se refere a um método de conversão de material lignocelulósico particulado para produzir compostos orgânicos voláteis e carvão vegetal, que compreende formar uma mistura do material lignocelulósico particulado com uma composição catalítica contendo um líquido orgânico polar e um ácido na presença ou ausência de água adicionada, aquecer a mistura até uma temperatura suficientemente alta e por um período suficientemente longo de modo a converter uma porção principal de qualquer fase sólida remanescente da mistura em carvão vegetal, agitando ao mesmo tempo a mistura, e separar os compostos orgânicos 15 voláteis e a composição catalítica como uma fase gasosa da fase sólida.
