Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de communication destiné à fournir des informations, par exemple sur des objets exposés, à des utilisateurs munis chacun d'un émetteur-récepteur portatif relié à une unité centrale dans laquelle des informations numériques sont conservées dans des blocs susceptibles d'être choisis individuellement, à la demande de chaque émetteur-récepteur individuel, puis d'être transférés et mémorisés dans ledit émetteur-récepteur, ce système permettant ainsi que les blocs d'informations choisis et mémorisés soient convertis dans l'émetteur-récepteur en informations visibles et audibles, à la demande de l'utilisateur. Lorsque l'on utilise un tel système, la compression des informations transférées et mémorisées requiert un temps de transmission ainsi qu'un encombrement de mémoire minimes. Ce système de communication s'effectue sans fil au moyen d'un rayonnement infrarouge dans la zone d'action. En outre, l'invention décrit un dispositif autonome permettant de convertir les blocs d'informations en sons audibles et en images visibles.
