Abstract

La présente invention concerne une composition enzymatique présentant, dans des conditions alcalines, une activité cellulolytique, en l'occurrence endoglucanase. L'enzyme est dérivée ou produite à partir d'un champignon du genre Acremonium dans la mesure où la composition ne présente pas de réactivité croisée avec des anticorps dirigés contre des endoglucanases (EC 3.2.1.4) des espèces Humicola insolens, DSM 1800, Fusarium oxysporum, DSM 2672, Myceliophthora thermophilia, CBS 117.65 ou Cephalosporium, RYM-202. L'invention concerne également un produit d'assemblage d'ADN comprenant une séquence d'ADN codant une enzyme à activité endoglucanase. La composition enzymatique et la cellulase isolée ou clonée et exprimée selon la présente invention sont utilisables dans tout processus industriel nécessitant une cellulase alcaline, par exemple, pour obtenir des variations localisées de la densité de couleurs (cas du lavage à la pierre du denim), pour améliorer le drainage d'une suspension aqueuse de la pâte à papier ou pour désencrer le papier de récupération, dans des compositions détergentes, et enfin dans des assouplissants pour textiles.
