Abstract

Composition de polymères thermoplastiques comportant au moins environ 50 % en poids de polypropylène, au moins environ 20 % en poids d'un élastomère tel que du caoutchouc EP et au moins environ 4 % en poids d'un plastomère. Ledit plastomère est de préférence un copolymère à base d'éthylène catalysé en un seul site présentant une densité de moins 0,915 g/cm<3>. En ajustant la quantité de plastomère de la composition, on maîtrise efficacement le retrait après moulage de pièces produites par moulage par injection utilisant ladite composition. Cette même composition qui peut être produite sous forme de mélange produit en réacteur ou de mélange fondu, est particulièrement utile pour la fabrication de pièces de grandes dimensions telles que des pare-chocs ou des garnitures décoratives extérieures pour automobiles.
