Abstract
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un appareil qui servent à traiter des signaux dans le même canal reçus au niveau d'un groupement de capteurs (110) dans un moteur de traitement et de séparation de signaux à base de cumulants, afin d'obtenir un groupe désiré de signaux de sortie (38) ou de paramètres. Pour pouvoir être utilisés dans un système de récupération de signaux, des signaux de sortie en question sont des versions séparées et récupérées des signaux transmis à l'origine dans le même canal. Une caractéristique importante qui distingue le système à base de cumulants des autres systèmes de récupération et de séparation de signaux est que le système à base de cumulants génère un vecteur d'orientation généralisé estimé qui est associé à chaque source de signaux et qui est représentatif de toutes les composantes de signal cohérentes reçues attribuables à la source en question. Cette caractéristique permet au système de cette invention de bien se comporter dans des conditions multivoies, en combinant toutes les composantes multivoies cohérentes provenant de la même source. Dans un système de récepteur/émetteur (316), les vecteurs d'orientation généralisés estimés qui sont associés à chaque source sont utilisés pour générer des vecteurs de pondération conformateurs de faisceaux de transmission qui permettent la transmission dans le même canal en direction de multiples stations d'utilisateurs (310). Ce moteur de traitement et de séparation générique à base de cumulants peut également être utilisé dans une grande variété d'applications, telles que l'enregistrement haute densité, l'égalisation d'angles de phase complexes, les systèmes de réception avec plage dynamique efficace accrue, et la séparation de signaux en présence de fortes interférences. Divers modes de réalisation et diverses extensions de ce système générique à base de cumulants sont présentés.
