Appareil anti-chute sur câble vertical (50) du type comprenant un corps avec une gouttière (19) de guidage du câble (50), le corps supportant un axe (25) sur lequel s'articule un levier (26) dont une extrémité
est terminée par une came (28) destinée à serrer le câble (50) contre le fond de la gouttière (19), tandis que l'autre extrémité est solidaire d'un anneau (35), des moyens élastiques (31) étant prévus pour tendre à
maintenir la came (28) appliquée contre le câble (50), caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un axe (42) situé au-dessus de l'axe (25) et sur lequel tourne une roue crantée (45) coopérant, en permanence, avec le câble (50), l'anneau (35) comportant latéralement une denture (46) et étant monté
pivotant sur le levier (26) de manière, qu'en poussant sur ledit anneau (35), la denture (46) puisse être amenée en prise avec la roue crantée (45).
