Abstract

L'invention concerne un acier à faible teneur en carbone et en manganèse, à haute résistance mécanique et à haute ténacité, qui résiste en outre aux phénomènes de fissuration progressive et aux phénomènes de fissuration due aux contraintes exercées par le sulfure. Cet acier peut être produit par des techniques de coulée traditionnelles ou de coulée en brame fine, se déroulant à une vitesse normale et à un faible niveau de ségrégation du manganèse. Ces aciers conviennent tout particulièrement aux tubes de canalisation servant à une utilisation intensive de gaz sulfureux.
