Abstract

Le présente invention est relative à un projectile non létal pour arme à feu, constitué en un nouveau matériau composite mou et élastique comprenant une matrice organique polymérique et une charge pulvérulente métallique de densité comprise entre 4 et 22 dispersée dans la matrice polymérique. Le matériau composite a une densité comprise entre 1,0 et 2,9 et une dureté Shore A comprise entre 2 et 30. La matrice organique polymérique est un polybutadiène réticulé comprenant des chaînes polybutadiènes de masse comprise entre 500 et 10000 reliées par des ponts. Le projectile selon l'invention permet de neutraliser un animal ou une personne sans mettre sa vie en danger ni entraîner des blessures graves, même pour un tir à faible distance, inférieure à 5 m.
