Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de recherche, de suivi et de surveillance portatif. Ce système comprend une ou plusieurs unités surveillées et/ou recherchées (MSU) et une ou plusieurs unités de surveillance et recherche (SRU). Les unités MSU comprennent des moyens de traitement, des moyens de mémorisation, des moyens de visualisation et/ou audio, une antenne d'émission/réception, un récepteur à large spectre pour recevoir les données modulées à large spectre et les transformer en données de bande de base, un émetteur à large spectre, un distributeur de données, un synthétiseur ou générateur de fréquences et un corrélateur pour corréler les données à large spectre reçues par ledit récepteur à large spectre à la séquence connue de pseudo-bruit. En outre, les unités SRU comprennent des moyens de traitement, des moyens de mémorisation, des moyens de visualisation e/ou audio, une antenne omnidirectionnelle d'émission/réception, une antenne directionnelle d'émission/réception, un récepteur à large spectre pour recevoir les données modulées à large spectre et les transformer en données de bande de base, un émetteur à large spectre, un distributeur de données, un synthétiseur ou générateur de fréquences, un corrélateur pour corréler les données à large spectre reçues par ledit récepteur à large spectre avec une séquence de pseudo-bruit connue, et des moyens de mesure du retard, pour mesurer le temps écoulé entre le début d'une première séquence transmise jusqu'au début d'une ou de plusieurs des séquences reçues à partir d'une unité MSU en réponse à ladite première séquence transmise.
