Abstract
Dans le cadre de ce procédé, on introduit dans l'appareil (11) servant à isoler des tuyaux, des panneaux séparés, d'ordinaire des planches planes rigides, en les faisant passer par un dispositif de calibrage (219) afin d'en contrôler l'épaisseur; ces panneaux sont ensuite dirigés sur un transporteur (211) où leurs extrémités adjacentes sont jointes les unes aux autres afin de constituer un ensemble continu de panneaux transitant par le transporteur. Un poste de sectionnement à déplacement horizontal (231) coupe les panneaux en segments transversaux trapézoïdaux, de sorte que chaque segment est inversé par rapport au précédent ou au suivant, le plan de segmentation étant commun. Un mécanisme culbuteur (252) bascule les segments en fonction de leur orientation de sorte qu'ils se retrouvent tous sur un transporteur horizontal (253) avec la même orientation. Un transporteur à accumulation (256) assemble bout à bout les bases des segments de façon à constituer une surface solide sur laquelle appliquer un fond pour solidariser les segments trapézoïdaux. Selon une variante, les panneaux sont calibrés et collés par leurs extrémités sur un transporteur horizontal avant de constituer une série de segments trapézoïdaux. Dans ce mode de réalisation, tous les autres segments doivent être renversés pour permettre la constitution d'une surface contiguë base contre base.
