Abstract
La présente invention concerne une pile à combustible du type à membrane échangeuse de protons dans laquelle des conduits de réfrigérant suivent les voies d'écoulement du gaz réactant de chaque côté de l'ensemble d'électrodes à membrane et sont formés à l'interface entre les couches de séparateur adjacentes en contact des piles à combustible consécutives de l'empilage. Les conduits de réfrigérant de l'invention éliminent la nécessité de former des conduits traversant les couches de l'ensemble d'électrodes à membrane dans le sens de l'empilage.
