Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement de minerais de sulfure contenant des métaux précieux, tels que des minerais de cuivre contenant du nickel. Selon ledit procédé, le minerai ou le concentré (1) contenant les métaux précieux est lixivié (2) et le fer contenu dans la solution est neutralisé dans des conditions d'oxydation au moyen d'une solution de recyclage ferrique (6) recyclée vers la solution de lixiviation. La solution (8) provenant de l'étape de lixiviation et au moins une partie du résidu de la solution sont conduites vers une étape de conversion (5) au cours de laquelle du sulfure ferrugineux est additionné afin de transformer le cuivre de l'étape de conversion en concentré de sulfure de cuivre (10) contenant les métaux précieux. La solution (6) obtenue lors de l'étape de conversion est partiellement recyclée vers l'étape de lixiviation précédente (2) et partiellement conduite vers le traitement ultérieur (11) des composants contenus dans la solution.
