Abstract
L'invention concerne la production de brais appropriés à des applications multiples à partir de distillats provenant du goudron de houille à haute température avec une plage de distillation supérieure à 260 DEG C. A cet effet, trois étapes sont mises en oeuvre de façon combinée et dans des conditions douces de pression et de température (<400 DEG C, <10 bar g). Ces trois étapes sont les suivantes : traitement thermique d'oxydation utilisant comme réactif de l'air ou de l'oxygène, ses mélanges ou de l'air appauvri en oxygène ; traitement thermique dans une atmosphère inerte ; et distillation fractionnée. On obtient ainsi des brais qui présentent des avantages sur le plan écologique et sur le plan de la santé professionnelle et qui peuvent être utilisés comme précurseurs du charbon.
