Abstract

Linvention décrit une méthode dentretien dun fichier informatique en synchronie entre de multiples ordinateurs. Les multiples ordinateurs peuvent comprendre au moins un ancêtre, un descendant de lancêtre et un descendant suivant de lancêtre. Une copie locale du fichier informatique peut être stockée à lancêtre, au descendant et au descendant suivant et un journal de modifications peut être maintenu à lancêtre, au descendant et au descendant suivant, chaque journal de modifications reflétant les changements apportés aux copies locales du fichier informatique. Le descendant peut admettre des entrées dans son journal de modifications au descendant suivant. Ces entrées peuvent être consolidées avec le journal de changements du descendant suivant et peuvent être admises à lancêtre. Des changements aux copies locales du fichier informatique au descendant et au descendant suivant peuvent être synchronisés avec la copie locale du fichier à lancêtre en utilisant les entrées du journal de modification reçues du descendant suivant.
