Abstract

Un système de plafond suspendu utilise un système de grille comportant un ensemble de nuds intermédiaires situés à l'intérieur d'un bord périphérique du système de plafond et un ensemble de nuds de bord à un bord du système de grille. Chaque nud intermédiaire est défini par une plaque de connexion pourvue d'un ensemble de chemins de guidage pour recevoir et coopérer avec un bord supérieur des éléments de grille de plafond pour aligner les éléments de grille selon une configuration géométrique prédéterminée. Des fixations mécaniques fixent la plaque de connexion et les éléments de grille de plafond dans l'un ou l'autre des chemins de guidage. Chaque plaque de connexion entre des chemins de guidage adjacents comporte des fentes de connexion généralement opposées pour recevoir des ressorts de soutien suspendant les panneaux de plafond sous le système de grille. La plaque de connexion simplifie l'installation et permet d'éviter le placement incorrect des éléments de grille. De préférence, le système de grille comprend au moins cinq éléments de grille équidistants autour d'un point central de la plaque de connexion. Dans une autre structure privilégiée, au moins six éléments de grille sont fixés à une plaque de connexion et les panneaux de plafond sont de forme triangulaire.
