Abstract

L'invention concerne des procédés et des compositions permettant de traiter des piles de charbon de rang bas pour inhiber sa combustion spontanée. Le procédé consiste à appliquer une composition contenant du VAE et de la glycérine brute sur du charbon de rang bas. La composition empêche l'eau de s'évaporer du charbon de rang bas. Ceci empêche la formation, dans le charbon de rang bas, d'ouvertures creuses qui sont une cause principale de sa combustion spontanée. La composition présente de meilleures performances que ses ingrédients seuls. En fait, la composition est si efficace que quand elle est utilisée, certains procédés de manipulation complexe de charbon de rang bas, tels que la tenue d'archives et d'inventaires de type PEPS, les points de pincement ou l'utilisation exclusive d'équipement sans coude peuvent être ignorés.
