Abstract

Ce procédé de calcul d'un intervalle de positions d'un véhicule ferroviaire (2) sur une voie ferrée (4), ledit intervalle de positions correspondant à un segment de la voie (4) entre une extrémité avant et une extrémité arrière, est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte les étapes : - d'identification, par des capteurs à la voie (8), d'un canton (6) de la voie ferrée (4) occupé par le véhicule ferroviaire (2) ; - de transmission, à un ordinateur (12) au sol, d'un identifiant du canton (6) occupé ; et, - de calcul, par l'ordinateur (12) au sol, d'un intervalle de positions (S d) du véhicule ferroviaire (2) en tenant compte d'une position géographique du canton (6) occupé associée à l'identifiant dudit canton (6) occupé.
