Abstract

Un procédé de traitement de la mousse de bitume comprenant un solvant dhydrocarbure comprend l'ajout dun agent de décantation en vue d'améliorer la décantation des résidus dans la mousse de bitume et le retrait des résidus décantés de la mousse de bitume pour obtenir un produit de bitume à faible teneur en résidus. De plus, un procédé de traitement dune émulsion de bitume comprenant une première phase aqueuse, une première phase huileuse et des résidus comprend l'ajout dun agent de décantation à l'émulsion de bitume, en vue daméliorer la séparation des résidus dans la phase aqueuse de lémulsion de bitume et la séparation de l'émulsion de bitume dans la deuxième phase aqueuse renfermant la majorité des résidus présents dans lémulsion de bitume et une deuxième phase huileuse renfermant la majorité du bitume présent dans l'émulsion de bitume pour produire un produit de bitume à faible teneur en résidus.
