Abstract

La présente invention concerne une couche absorbant pour modérer le flux sanguin depuis une blessure qui a une couche de tissu non-tissé de fibre de chitosane insoluble dans l'eau ayant un revêtement d'amidon absorbant l'eau sur au moins une face de la couche de tissu. Le revêtement d'amidon absorbant l'eau pénètre dans la couche de tissu à partir d'une première surface sur les fibres de chitosane à une profondeur d'au moins 25 % de la couche de tissu de fibres de chitosane. Les fibres de chitosane ont des diamètres moyens de 5 à 30 micromètres. Le poids moyen d'amidon/chitosane peut diminuer à partir de la première surface à partir de laquelle l'amidon a pénétré dans le tissu à la profondeur d'au moins 50 % de la couche de tissu. L'amidon peut être modifié de manière à comprendre des groupes hydrophiles dans ou sur les chaînes moléculaires de l'amidon.
