Abstract

L'invention concerne, selon un aspect, un système comportant un générateur de formes d'onde, un dispositif de commande, et un contact électrique. Le générateur de formes d'onde est destiné à la génération d'un bloc de conduction nerveuse électrique (ENCB). Le dispositif de commande est couplé au générateur de formes d'onde. Le dispositif de commande est conçu pour recevoir une entrée comprenant au moins un paramètre pour régler l'ENCB. Le contact électrique est couplé au générateur de formes d'onde. Le contact électrique est conçu pour être placé en contact avec un nerf. Le contact électrique comprend un matériau à capacité de charge élevée qui empêche une formation de produits électrochimiques pouvant provoquer un endommagement au niveau d'une charge fournie par l'ENCB. Le contact électrique est conçu pour fournir l'ENCB au nerf pour bloquer une transmission d'un signal lié à une douleur parcourant le nerf.
