Abstract

L'invention concerne un caisson d'air secondaire (10) pour conduire de l'air secondaire à différentes hauteurs à l'intérieur d'un foyer d'une cheminée. Le caisson (10) comprend un corps creux, une entrée d'air (11) à travers laquelle de l'air est conçu pour circuler à l'intérieur du caisson d'air secondaire (10) pour être préchauffé, et une pluralité d'ouvertures de sortie d'air (12) disposées à différentes hauteurs du caisson d'air secondaire (10) conçues pour conduire l'air préchauffé vers le foyer par l'intermédiaire d'au moins les ouvertures de sortie d'air (12) qui sont sur la hauteur de la partie supérieure d'une charge de bois en combustion à l'intérieur du foyer. L'invention concerne en outre une cheminée comprenant un caisson d'air secondaire (10) et une grille (10), un procédé d'alimentation en air secondaire à différentes hauteurs d'un foyer par l'intermédiaire d'ouvertures de sortie d'air (12) disposées à des hauteurs différentes sur un caisson d'air secondaire (10), et un kit d'adaptation de caisson d'air secondaire pour une cheminée.
