Das Verdünnen kann als ein Mittel zur Hinderun#g der K.oa,gulation während des Vulkanisierens be nutzt werden.<B>-</B> Es kanndem Milehsaft vor dem Vul.Irani- sieren auch eine gewisse Menge eines Kol loides, wie zum Beispiel etwa<B>5</B> bis<B>10</B> '/o Kasein, einverleibt werden;
I>Nessel</I> <B>A</B> (butter muslin)

Process for vulcanizing chewing milk juice. In order to produce vulcanized Kuut-sü-huk from milk juice (latex), a number of work measures were required according to the previously proposed methods. In the process on which the present invention is based, vulcanization is achieved in a simple manner in that chewing cow's milk juice is mixed with a sulfur-containing vulcanizing agent and
It is vulcanized in a way that any coagulation of the chewing chuk is prevented to a significant degree during vulcanization. The product of the process is a colloidal solution or emulsion of vulcanized chewing shoe. In order to prevent the coagulation of the milk juice during the vulcanization, you can use a coagulation-inhibiting substance, e.g.
B. sodium sulfite, or an alkaline body, e.g. 'B. Ammonia, or an organic base, e.g. B. Piperidine, add the milk juice before treatment. You, amount (, in such a body can be very small: for example, with fresh milk juice it can be smaller than the amount which would be sufficient to make the natural aciclicity of the latex disappear. If necessary, the alkali can also in connection with the vulcanizing agent z.
B. in the form of an alkali polysulfide to be given.
The milk juice can be diluted with water before vulcanizing, for example down to a chewing shoe content of about <B> 15% </B> with fresh milk juice "to <B> 30 </B> to 40 <B> ' - </B> with old (presei-ved) latex.
Thinning can be used as a means of preventing the coagulation during vulcanization. <B> - </B> There can also be a certain amount of colloid in the milk juice before vulcanizing, such as for example about <B> 5 </B> to <B> 10 </B> '/ o casein, may be incorporated;
this addition is apparently suitable for keeping the rubber in a non-coagulating state, as is the advantage. if the -, - Lillzanized product is to be used for thin layers or coatings (films) which are less easily sticky than if they are placed on the same M'r # ise without this addition to the mixed mass lif # i, -.
Fillers, dyes, or the like can be added at any convenient stage in the process.
The vulcanization can be carried out in any manner desired. For example, the Milühsaft with your V, ulcanizing agent, z. B.
Sulfur or Polys-Lilfiden, with or without the addition of an accelerator, such as zinc oxide, mixed and then the mixture is subjected to a temperature and pressure suitable for vulcanization for a certain time, ## earth,
which depends on the quantity and type of vulcanizing agent and the particular temperature used.
In any case, a simple <I> V </I> attempt will suffice. in order to maintain employment relationships. In this process, an aqueous holloidal solution or an emulsion of the vulcanizing agent is obtained.
The resulting chewing shoe solution can be separated from everything undissolved and can then be smoked. Sol, eh a heavy vulcanized 3 # lil, e'hs # -ift can be kept for a long time.
The Kauts.chuk can be separated from the volcanic milk sap by evaporating the liquid or by adding a xoagulant, e.g. B. an S-, iurc-. ## r; e acetic or sulfuric acid.
The -, o '.rhalten- coagulum consists of -Nm] L- "tnisicr- # in aufsehuk, it can be grown, rolled <B> I </B> # K, t-, züi skins removed or otherwise treated in order to obtain the Kautseliuli: relatively rg, in and in two, elimiform form.
The skin that is obtained can be obtained by any of the methods - as is usual with ordinary uncured raw heap skin. to be dried.
The vulcanized Naufsehuk 'can 91) he too. as mentioned earlier. can be obtained by ind; -, iinpii-, i of the liquid.
For example, vulcanized milk can be applied to a wide variety of materials, even to the thinnest of materials. and Jann troek- nün, 'This is how <I> Nessel </I> <B> A </B> (butter muslin)
Brush it lightly with this mass or immerse it in it and dry it either at a normal temperature or under warming. LI <I>Example<B>1:</B> </I> <B> 13.6 </B> liters of milk juice, containing <B> 15 </B> hard rubber and sodium sulfite (field sulfite) in a ratio of <B> 1:
800 </B> or dry rubber, is mixed with <B> 30 </B> -r Sichwefel, <B> 15 </B> g zinc oxide, <B> 18 </B> cm 'Piperi-din and 200 cm 'of a casein solution containing about <B> 35 </B> grams of casein and <B> 5 </B> grams of crystallized borax, mixed.
The mixture is first heated to <B> 3.1 </B> Atm for <B> 30 </B> minutes in a vulcanizing apparatus. Druch, and then another 20 minutes at <B> 3.1 </B> Alm. Heated and <B> so </B> vulcanized.
The vulcanized product consists practically entirely of an aqueous solution or suspension of vulcanized X .-,) utsühuh, there was little or no during vulcanization, - found. <I> Example 2: </I> 400 cm 'milk juice, containing 1.1% dry chewing soup and sodium sulfite. in a ratio of <B> 1 </B>:
80 () o, r Eiutschuk with 2 um 'piperidine. 4 <U> -r </U> sulfur and <B> 1 </B> -r Ziiil, -oxvcl vrrmi.z # cht. The mixture is for, for <B> 10 </B> minutes Ianc up to <B> 2.8 </B> Aim. Pressurized and heated for <B> 10 </B> minutes at this pressure.
The product was well vitrified and gave essentially no chewing com, ulum.
en <I>Example<B>3:</B> </I> To <B> 100 </B> um '(containing ei-wa <B> 30 </B>' / o Kaufschuh) were < B> 1.6 </B> an 'Ammoniah <B> (0.880 </B> specific weight) added: then -a # thinner from <B> 3 </B> -r Sellweefel # <B > 1 </B> gr zinc oxide and <B> 1 </B> cm 'piperidine or <B> 1 </B> gr Aldth #, d-ammoniil # in <B> 35 </B> ' Water.
When the latter (lurell 2 to <B> 3 </B> drops of Ammoniah I was just alkaline, introduced into the milk juice.
The whole thing was carried out for an hour while increasing the pressure to 2.8 - # tm. heated and the gpr pressure continued for half an hour at <B> 2.8 </B> Aim-, tufrc ## eht. After the alkanization, the liquid was percolated.
<I> Example 4: </I> At <B> 100 </B> cm 'Milchsa.it with about <B> 30 </B> Kauts-chuk <B> 8 </B> cm' of a solution of sodium polysulphide (containing <B> 25 </B>% fä, 11baren schefel) and <B> 50 </B> a 'water, which was made slightly alkaline by a few drops of ammonia - "was added.
The coating was in the vulcanizing apparatus <B><I>30</I> </B> TEnuts slowly increasing to 140 '<B> C </B> and a further 20 minutes at 140 <B > 'C </B> heated. After vulcanization, the liquid was permeable.
<I>Example<B>5:</B> </I> To <B> 100 </B> cm 'milk juice, which is about. 40 <B>% </B> rubber: contained and was preserved with a small amount of ammoniah (about i '/ o), 120 cm' of water, which contained a few drops of ammonia, and <B> 2.5 </B> '/ o contained suspended or colloidal sulfur, to, & - sets;
the niche was during <B> 9-0 </B> -, Nfi- down to <B> 2.8 </B> Aim. Pressure and another <B> 30 </B> minutes at <B> 2.8 </B> Aim. heated and so vulcanized. After the vulcanization was percolated.
<I> Example<B>6:</B> </I> Züi <B> 100 </B> cm 'milk juice # of the water containing a small amount of sodium sulphite (Tield sulphite) to about <B> 15 % </B> Kautsühik- ce. # Is diluted, 4 cm 'of a solution of sodium polysulphide with about. <B> 25 </B>' / c, precipitable.m sulfur is added. The misehun will last <B> 10 </B> minutes up to <B> 3,
1 </B> Afm. Pressure and. then for <B> 15 </B> minutes at <B> 3.1 </B> Aim. in the Vullz:, heated anizer.
The coagulation of the vulcanized Pro can by adding a SKure, z. B. acetic or sulfuric acid. be effected. 20-greater-than for the liquid obtained according to Example 4 above <B> 50 </B> to <B> 70 </B> cm 'of a 5-percent solution of acetic acid . or <B> 30 </B> 'to <B> 50 </B> cm' S: Sulfur sate is added. The niche 27 is left to stand for a few hours until co-regulation is essentially complete.
The coagulum is then separated, washed and dried in the usual manner.
In the manufacture of chewing shoe masses according to the present invention, the fire and poisoning hazards associated with the usual chewing, cellulose solvents are avoided and this advantage applies not only to the preparation of the solution but also to the use of the vulcanized latex.
For example, when impregnating or covering fabrics, drying can also take place over an open fire.
Another advantage is that the Verdanipf ling residue of the vulcanized lat-ex is completely flawless, while the evaporation of chewing solutions in the commercial solvents always leaves a certain unpleasant odor.
These new vulcanized latex preparations are considerably less viscous and therefore hold a larger amount of buying shoes with the same viscosity. "#. Good than the vulcanized or non-vulcanized rubber solutions produced up to now.
