Description

Device for separating solid substances contained in liquid from the liquid. In the wood and pulp industry, it is well known that drainage machines are used to extract a layer of material or web of material from the more or less liquid mass mixed with water and to shape which web of material is then passed into the drying machine for further processing.

Such dewatering machines, which thus have the same purpose as an ordinary screen cloth section, consisted of a cylinder made of screen cloth, which rotates in a fabric box (more or less immersed), and on which: the fabric is strained, if necessary supported by sucking, off sets, so idass. a layer is formed on the cylinder, which is then removed from it.

According to the present invention, on the other hand, an endless sieve cloth is used which runs through a material box or a liquid container, forming a wall of this box, and which is carried by a roller which is provided with depressions which the suction forces One or more suction boxes connected to a larger or smaller part of the free roller surface can extend to the part of the roller surface covered by the sieve filament.

   - In this way you get a very durable and effective dewatering machine, which also: can have the advantage that the screen cloth can be easily changed if necessary.

The attached drawing shows an example of an embodiment of the D4 binding which is used to separate wood and cellulose fibers - s: chem, ati.sch.

On the fabric box 1, a roller 2 is rotatably mounted bar. To this roller 2, which is provided in the illustrated embodiment with recesses in the form of circumferential grooves 3, a screen cloth 4 is placed, which means that one wall of the fabric box 1 forms. The screen cloth 4 runs over suitable guide and tensioning rollers 5, 6. On the underside of the roller 2, which is not covered by the screen cloth 4, a suction box 7 is connected. The roller 2 rotates in the direction indicated by the arrow.

The screen cloth 4 thus moves in the upward direction in the substance box, at the bottom of which suitable sealing conditions 8 are arranged. During .der Au ('- upward movement of the screen cloth through the fabric box, the fabric will gradually settle on the screen cloth, especially on that part of the latter that rests against the roller because the suction box 7 passes through the Grooves 3 are involved and the water passing through the sieve cloth quickly leads away and diverts it to the suction box, from which it can be directed away in a suitable manner.

In this way, a fabric layer 9 is formed on the screen cloth, which, after it has been lifted out of the fabric box on the top of the roller, is constantly exposed to suction and is dewatered even more until the screen cloth leaves the roller, whereupon the The fabric layer can be removed from the screen cloth in a suitable manner and transferred, for example, to a felt 10 which moves the fabric web to the presses of the drying machine.

The suction box can, as shown with dash-dotted lines, be provided with an intermediate wall 15 which extends from the bottom of the box to the surface of the roller 2 and divides the suction box into two chambers 16 and 17, each with a suction line are connected. The liquid that accumulates in the chamber 16 contains a certain amount of fibers which pass through the sieve cloth before the substance has accumulated on the sieve cloth in sufficient strength.

This liquid can therefore expediently be reused in order to prepare and thin new amounts of substance, which are then fed to the material box 1. The liquid there (which collects in the chamber 17 becomes from the already formed web of fabric 9 and is therefore relatively moderately free of fibers, so that it can be guided away.

If desired, water can be sprayed onto the web of fabric 9 to wash it, and in this case this water is also sucked into the chamber 17.

It is clear that the invention is not limited to the use of a roller 2 with grooves running around it, but rather that the roller can be provided with any desired shape of such depressions, which allow the suction from the suction box to the part carrying the screen cloth . of the roller can convey and transfer.

It is also clear that the suction box does not necessarily have to encompass the entire remaining part of the roll, but one can also, for example, have a suction box at each angle between the screen cloth and the roll surface or even just one suction box at the one angle between .use the roller surface and the sieve cloth, where it goes into the fabric box. Other such modifications can of course be made within the scope of the invention.

Furthermore, a roller can also be arranged in the manner already known for dewatering machines, which presses against the roller 2 on its upper free side, i.e. H. on the upper left side of the drawing, as shown on this with dashed lines.

This roller 11 -will then against the .on the screen cloth 4, respectively. 4 'formed fabric layer 9 respectively. 9 'press, which means that more water is pressed out. You can also give this second roller with a felt 12 around and between the felt and the roller 11, especially if .these is also provided with grooves 13 or .the like. Arrange a suction box 1.1 to suck the water away,

which is pressed through the felt. With this arrangement, the fabric layer 91 can be removed from the screen cloth by means of the felt. This last-described arrangement results in a combined stock dewatering machine and wet press.

The device according to the invention can of course also be used to separate substances other than wood and cellulose fibers from the liquid, for example to remove lime sludge and other solid particles from the leaching process in cellulose production.
