The object of the present invention is a circuit breaker; it comprises a basic piece of insulating material on which are fixed various pieces of supply and departure of the current, some of which have parts which are hollowed out in the form of bowls in which the respective ends of a part fitted with a fuse and which has small portions.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a sectional elevation; Fig. 2 is a top plan view of the circuit breaker, with the cap removed.
The circuit breaker according to these figures has a base a, made of insulating material, on which is fixed a part b connected with the current supply conductor and which is arranged to come into contact with a part 1 provided a fuse. The base a; also has a part c, to which the current outgoing wire is connected, as well as a removable d cap. The cap d is provided, at its lower part, with a metal part i, arranged so as to present a threaded part which is screwed into a part c 'of the part c seen more high. .
By screwing the cap d, an axial pressure is applied on the part l, provided with a fuse, which is clamped between the parts b and i, . Which are used to establish contact and which are hollowed out for this purpose, in the form of cups, in which engage the respective ends of the piece l cut into a truncated cone.
To ensure electrical contact by fact, the cups of parts b and i have flexible tabs b '. And i', which form a spring. These tabs are, in the embodiment shown, cut from the same cups. These tabs, which yield under the pressure exerted, when the cap d is screwed into part c ', exactly marry the parts cut into a truncated cone of part 1.
The latter has at its upper end a rod f, intended to be introduced, when the cap d is removed from the base a, in a hole of the same diameter due to the rod provided at the bottom of the bowl formed by the tongues i ', this in order to prevent the introduction of a part l provided with a rod f of a diameter phis larger than that provided.
Ira rod f is provided with a groove g, in which, at the time of the establishment of the. piece Z and when this one arrives at the bottom of the bowl formed by the tabs i ',
engages a spring h which then retains said part l in position on the cap d and from which it can only be removed by exerting a fairly far traction. The part l thus forms a whole, with the cap d and can be introduced without danger into the base a, even when the latter is under tension.
