Description

  Sobald das Weichlot zwischen den Plat  ten der     Sicherung        schmilzt,    so lösen sich die  beiden Platten auseinander, der Zug im  Kabel     r-        wird        dadurch    aufgehoben, das     Ge-          w        icht:        y        Alli    herunter und die     Klappe    p wird       geöffnet,    (las     \V;

  Safety device on systems for storing and filling flammable liquids according to the hydraulic system. The present invention relates to a safety device on systems for La like and filling of flammable liquids according to the hydraulic Sy system to prevent the escape of flammable liquid from the system in the event of a fire in the vicinity of the system.

  In such systems for storing and filling gasoline, benzene, petrol, oil and other flammable liquids that are specifically lighter than water and are not absorbed by the water, the liquid is under water pressure when the system is in use and as soon as the liquid is removed a corresponding volume of water flows in. So there can never be empty or air spaces in the system, so no explosive gas mixture can form in the system, so the system is absolutely explosion and fire-proof.

  However, it can now happen that a fire breaks out in the vicinity of the system, to which the system is also exposed. Then it could happen that the system's dispensing equipment is demolished. If, in such a case, there should be a further coincidence that the closing element in the pressurized water line should not be closed, the contents of the system of flammable liquid could be forced out through the leak. Preventing this is the purpose of the present invention.

  The drawing shows a system of the type mentioned, which is provided with the Sicherheitsvorrich device, an embodiment with the relevant parts in Fig. 1 schematically, while Fig. 2 and 3 show details in other positions in example.

  The tank a is connected by the pressurized water line b to the high reservoir c, which is connected to a water supply line and provided with a float valve, so that the water supply line is closed when the reservoir is full and the tank below: the constant, due to the altitude of the reservoir c is a certain water pressure. At the top of the tank a. The liquid riser d branches off, which is raised above the possible maximum level of the riser liquid and is open at the upper end, or is provided with a sniffer valve.

  At a height which is above the height of the reservoir c, the discharge line f branches off from the riser line d , into which water can never pass, but only pure storage liquid. The dispensing line f is equipped with a flow meter g and merges into the dispensing hose lt, at the end of which the Zapflialin i. is appropriate.

  The control valve s is switched on in the pressure water line b, from which the @@ rasser outlet line t branches off.

  If the system is not in operation, then: should the cock s be set as indicated in FIG. 1. The reservoir is closed off from the tank ca, while this is connected to the discharge line t. The apparatus of the system is empty of all liquids up to almost the height of the tap.

  If OOlezapft is to be used, the Halin s is in the position according to Fig. @ebraclit. 1Ti n the tank is below the @ \ 'asserdruclz, corresponding to the altitude of the reservoir r "and the storage fluid rises accordingly in line d, because the storage fluid, which is specifically lighter than water, is stored in the tank, for example gasoline.

    above the water, and the inflowing water pushes the storage liquid into the riser, out of it through the line f, the Zapferischlaueh la and the Zapfenlialin i as soon as and as long as it is open.

   After the end of tapping, so when i is closed, the control valve s is brought back to the position according to FIG. 1, then the storage liquid falls from the riser d back into the tank, until it is close to the height of the valve s, which you with the tank a appropriately arranged so that when the liquid is at its lowest level, it is completely below ground level. If, however, it is now neglected to change the direction of the valve s after which valve i has been closed, the flammable liquid remains under pressure during the day and takes its highest level therein, which it maintains.

  In order to avoid that storage liquid escapes from the system in such a case in the event of a fire breaking out in the vicinity of the system, which would destroy parts of the system, there is a u in front of the control valve s in the @ rucl @ water line b :

  Drainage nozzle included, the discharge opening of which is kept closed by a flap p.

   A lever q on the flap 1r is suspended from the ceiling of the .Ipparatera.xrmes by a cable r-. A weight y and a fusible link tt @@ in @ escheins, which consists of two Afetallplatten, which with soft solder, which at certain \ fcrripcrat:

  ur melts, are soldered together, one of which is connected to the upper, the other to the lower part of the cable.

  As soon as the soft solder between the fuse plates melts, the two plates separate, the pull in the cable r- is thereby relieved, the weight: y Alli down and the flap p is opened (las \ V;

  A1) flows out of the elevated tank c and the system is relieved of the water pressure so that the storage liquid from the riser falls below ground level.

  Instead of a weight, a compression spring could also try to open the flap, but prevented from doing so by the tension of the cable: one and only come to the effect, in which the Sehmelsiulation comes into function.

  Instead of an ordinary cable, the plate could. 1) for example. be kept closed by a tensioned ignition cord, so that when it burns down, the emptying opening is free.

  Instead of a flap, another closing element, for example a water tap or water slide, could be arranged on the drainage nozzle.
