aum 10 in Verbindung stehenden Raum 14 absperrt.
Automatic switching device for Zokomotivinjectors working with exhaust steam and live steam. The invention relates to a device through which a locomotive injector working with exhaust steam and live steam when the locomotive is driving or without steam. stops, whereby the flow of exhaust steam ceases, its effect is not interrupted by opening a second fresh steam path to the injector when the pressure in the valve body ceases,
through which the live steam replacing the exhaust steam reaches the injector in a relaxed state.
The invention consists in an automatic switching device for locomotive injectors working with exhaust steam and live steam, in which a counter valve is provided which has two differently sized seat surfaces and with the smaller seat surface the inlet opening for the pipe from the boiler to the second live steam Fresh steam flowing to the injector, with which the larger seats dominate the inlet opening for the live steam into a room which can be closed off from a room by a non-return valve,
which is connected by a line, for example, to the space between the regulator and valve body, whereby when a certain pressure difference between boiler voltage and working steam pressure is exceeded, the countervalve is pressed onto the upper, larger seat, which opens the steam path through the second live steam line to the injector , and vice versa, this second line closes when this difference is not reached.
The drawing represents. an example embodiment of the subject of the invention in longitudinal section. In the same be I denotes the inlet nozzle for the steam from the injector, 2 the path for the high-pressure boiler steam that flows through the inner steam nozzle 3 to the injector, 4 a second live steam path through which the Boiler steam reaches the exhaust nozzle 5 in the relaxed state. 6 denotes a counter-valve, which with its upper, larger seat creates a space 9a against the one with the boiler through the () opening 13 and the F:
A room 14 connected to 10 is locked. The space 9a can be closed off from the space 9 by the valve 12, while the space 9 itself is connected by the line 11 to a space through which the working steam flows, for example to the valve body or the main steam pipe of the locomotive leading from the regulator to the valve body. The distance between the counter valve 6 and the valve 12 can be smaller than the valve lift of 6, so that this forms a stop for the valve 12 when 6 rests on its upper seat 8.
A small leak can also be created in the upper seat 8 of the counter valve in some way, for example by roughening, through which small amounts of steam can get from space 14 into space 9a even when the valve is closed. The seat of the valve 12 can be machined in the same way in such a way that a small leak arises, and this valve can also be lifted from its seat by spring pressure and only close when the steam pressure in 9 has exceeded a certain level.
The operation of the device is as follows: If the locomotive is running under steam, the pressure in space 9 connected to the valve body will be more or less below the boiler pressure, and small amounts of steam will flow through the narrow gap at 8 from room 10, in which there is always full boiler pressure when dining, through rooms 1.1 and 9a to room 9. As long as the pressure difference between 10 and 9 and thus also the flow velocity does not exceed a certain level,
the counter valve 6 will rest on its lower seat 7 and block the steam path through the line 4. The injector then works with the Frisclidainpf flowing through 2 and the exhaust steam flowing through 1.
If the regulator of the machine is closed, so the machine runs without steam, then a pressure reduction occurs in pipe 1l and also in space 9. which the speed. of the steam flowing from room 10 to room 9 increases in such a way that the counter valve 4 is pressed onto its upper seat, the steam flow to room 9 is interrupted and the path to room 4 is released. The injector then only works with live steam, with the steam flowing through .l replacing the exhaust steam.
Small amounts of steam that enter the valve body through the leakage of the seat 8 through the space 9 and the line 11 are indeed losses, but of no importance in view of the very small amount. This also applies if, instead of the leak in the seat 8, a special small opening is provided.
The one through the Leituni; 4 flowing live steam replacing the exhaust steam must be throttled before entering the nozzles. If the steam is throttled at a point 13 that it passes before entering the counter valve 6,
Thus, when the counter valve 6 is raised on its upper seat 8, there will be a relatively low pressure in space 1.1 and, as a result, when the regulator is reopened, a low valve body pressure will be sufficient to press the counter valve 6 to its lower seat and the line. 1 "to lock.
