Description

Skibindung.

Ski binding. The present invention relates to ski bindings provided with heel straps, in which the irons are adjustable in the transverse direction of the ski and are provided with inwardly protruding, height-adjustable tongues so that the binding is both width-wise and width-wise the height of the shoe sole is adjustable.

The invention is shown in the drawing for example, namely shows: rig. 1 the foremost part of the binding, seen from the side, h'ig..2 the same seen from above, I ig. 3 a section according to III-III in Fig. 1, and I'ig. Figure 4 illustrates the attachment of the tongue, viewed from the front.

On the ski 1, two irons or jaws provided with horizontal files 2 and vertical parts 9 are attached. In each of these several (here two shown) recesses d are arranged, the side edges of which are beveled downward and inward. Shorter, correspondingly beveled clamping pieces 4, which are provided with openings for fastening screws 5, fit into the recesses. The iron or jaws are held on the ski by the fact that .the screwed into the wood of the ski 'visual screws 5 press the iron against the ski by means of the clamping pieces 4.

The adjustment of the iron bracket in the transverse direction of the ski can, while maintaining the point of engagement of each screw with the wood of the ski 1, simply by unscrewing the screws in question, so that the iron bracket in question is free, whereupon the the latter adjusts and then fastened again by screwing the screws.

It is thus possible to adjust without changing the position of the screws 5, which is a significant advantage. Incidentally, this is BEZW by said side bevel of the recess. the clamping pieces reached without the clamping pieces protruding above the parts 2, whereby one obtains a flat step surface for the front part of the shoe sole.

In order to prevent relative displacement of the iron and the clamping pieces in the transverse direction of the ski, the contact surfaces of the iron and the clamping pieces are expediently provided with interlocking elevations, as in Fit -'-. 2 indicated.

In the vertical parts 9 of the jaws, recesses 8 are provided, which widen at the top at 8 'to serve for possible fastening of belt buckles (not shown). In this recess 8, a plate piece 7 provided with an inwardly extending tongue 6 is fastened so that it can be ordered in the recess. The plate piece 7 is provided with an outwardly extending pin 10 which sits a head 11 be.

The plate piece 7 is held by a wedge-shaped piece 12 against the part 9 of the iron and so held in the desired height position, whereby the tongue 6 is set at any distance from the top of the ski who can.

Loose parts are to be avoided as much as possible in a ski binding, and therefore wedges 12 are expediently formed as the U-shaped thread of an arm 1 3 that is rotatably attached at 14. but also as a spreader for the pin 14, the latter becoming more resistant to bending stresses.

In order to make the fitting 15 of the heel belt releasable, the fitting 1.5 is provided with a recess 16, and the pin 14 is detached on one or two diametrically opposite sides so that the fitting is only then lifted off the pin when the fitting is swung down a little.
