Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht zwei Ausführungsbeispiele des Erfindungsgegen standes, wobei zur Vereinfachung der Dar stellung die Verbindung der Kugelausschnitte mit dem kugelförmigen Kolben als einfache Keilführung dargestellt ist. Fig. 1 ist ein, senkrechter Schnitt durch eine Ausführungs form der Vorrichtung in ihrer Mittelstellung;
Device with rotating and oscillating piston that can be used as a prime mover or pump. Devices that can be used as a prime mover or pump are known in which a rotating and oscillating piston is formed by an intermediate disk supplemented to form a hollow sphere except for the inlet and outlet slots controlled by a ring housing, the universal joint-like on two inclined towards each other, to the slots connected to it axles encircling spherical cutouts is articulated.
In-depth tests with such a device have led to the finding that, especially when the pressure or conveying means is a liquid, the hydraulic efficiency of the device does not meet the requirements of practice, namely because the rooms which are shortly before the. - final closure of the inlet and outlet slots between the surface of each spherical cutout,
the associated surface of the intermediate disk and the inner surfaces of the spherical shells seated on the latter still remain "too large". The result is that, for example, water to be pumped is still available in large quantities shortly before the end of the outlet slot in the relevant space mentioned and accordingly has to be pressed with great force through a relatively narrow opening, which causes friction losses that reduce the efficiency the device wesent Lich reduce. Such losses arise when flowing into the inlet slots as soon as they have just started their opening movement.
This inconvenience is eliminated in the device according to the invention in that the cavities receiving the circumferential spherical cutouts and the spherical cutouts are designed in such a way that the latter have the shape of wedges whose width, measured transversely to their rotation, is at most about twice as large as the width of the entry and exit slots. As a result, the shortly before closing the inlet and outlet slots to be filled respectively. Spaces to be emptied are reduced in size and the efficiency of the device is increased.
The drawing illustrates two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention, the connection of the spherical cutouts with the spherical piston being shown as a simple wedge guide to simplify the illustration. Fig. 1 is a vertical section through an embodiment of the device in its central position;
FIG. 2 is a section along the line A-A of FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 is the same section, but with the shafts rotated by 90; Fig. 4 shows a view of the device with GE, sectioned housing, seen in the direction of one axis of rotation; Fig. 5 and 6 ver illustrate a second embodiment of the device with regulation of the amount of pressure or conveyance and order control.
In the ring housing 1, a spherical piston 6 is rotatably mounted, which receives a spherical cutout 4 and 5 in two mutually offset cavities 16 and 17. In the ring housing 1 inclined shafts 2 and 3 are supported. The wedge edge of the cutouts 4 and 5 is actually articulated to the piston 6, so that as soon as the piston cutouts rotate, on the one hand it follows their rotary movement and on the other hand performs a swinging movement with respect to the side surfaces of the cutouts, where between the Piston 6 and the cut out inlet and outlet spaces for the conveying respectively. Drive fluid arise.
The cavities 16 and 17 have wm To catch the piston the inlet and outlet slots 9 and 10 delimiting edges 7 and 7 'and are in contrast to the known, aforementioned devices limited by flat surfaces that are parallel to the corresponding plane of the Waves 2 and 3 lie. Accordingly, the spherical cutouts 4 and 5 are also reduced to form wedges vC-, the width of which is a. (Fig. 2), measured transversely to its axis of rotation, is only about one half times larger than the width b of the slots 9 and 10.
The spherical cutouts are surrounded by the edges 7, 71 on the outside and are firmly connected to the shafts 2 and 3 at the slots 9 and 10 and set off at 11 and 12 so that they fit exactly into the slots 9 and 10; , which latter in the rotation and oscillation of the piston 6 from the housing 1 ge controls. The supply and discharge of the propellant or conveying medium is done by means of pipes 13, 14.
A regulation and reversal of the device can be achieved according to Fig. 5 and 6 in a known manner in that the mutual inclination of the shafts 2 and 3 is changed, the shifting the United shaft 3 enabling slot expediently by a corresponding ring 15, the moves with the shaft 3, is sealed.
