Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung von Bz-1-Benzanthronylthioglyliolsäure. Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung von Bz-1-Benz- anthronylthioglykolsäure. Die Säure wird dadurch erhalten, dass man Bz-1-Benzanthro- nylmerkaptan, das man nach dem Verfahren des Hauptpatentes Nr. 119231 erhalten kann, als solches oder in Form seiner Salze mit Chloressigsäure umsetzt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 30 Gewichtsteile Bz-1-Benzanthronylmer- kaptan-Natriumsalz werden in wässeriger Lösung mit einem Überschuss neutralisierter Chloressigsäure erhitzt, bis die Farbe der Lösung nach rotorange umschlägt. Beim Ansäuern fällt die Bz-1-Benzanthronylthio- glykolsäure aus.und wird abgesaugt, gut mit Wasser gewaschen und getrocknet. Sie stellt ein rotgelbes Pulver dar und kann aus Eis essig umkristallisiert werden. Schmelzpunkt bei ungefähr 220' C. Die Lösungsfarbe in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure ist rotviolett. Es dient als Zwischenprodukt zur Herstel lung von Farbstoffen.

On acidification, the Bz-1-benzanthronylthio glycolic acid precipitates out and is filtered off with suction, washed well with water and dried. It is a red-yellow powder and can be recrystallized from ice vinegar. Melting point at about 220 ° C. The solution color in concentrated sulfuric acid is red-violet. It serves as an intermediate product in the manufacture of dyes.
