Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung von Dibrom-Bz 1-benzanthronylthioglykolsäure. Gegenstand des Zusatzpatentes ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung von Dibrom-Bz 1 benzanthronylthioglykolsäure durch Behandeln von Bz 1-benzanthronylthioglykolsäure mit Bromier ungsmitteln. Die Di brom-Bz 1-benzan- thronylthioglykolsäure kann als Zwischenpro dukt zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen dienen.
Beispiel: 10 Gewichtsteile Bz 1-Benzanthronylthio- glykolsäure werden nach Zugäbe von 0,1-0,2 Gewichtsteile Schwefel mit 60-70 Gewichts teilen Brom bei gewöhnlicher Temperatur innig verrührt, bis die Bromwasserstoffabspal- tungbeendet ist. DasReaktionsgemischwirdmit Hilfe indifferenter organischer Lösungsmittel vom überschüssigen Brom befreit.
Die Dibrom- Bz 1-benzanthronylthioglykolsäure ist ein orangegelbes Pulver, das sich in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit roter, in verdünnten Alka- lien mit braunorangen Farbe löst.
Process for the preparation of Dibromo-Bz 1-benzanthronylthioglycolic acid. The subject of the additional patent is a process for the preparation of dibromo-Bz 1 benzanthronylthioglycolic acid by treating Bz 1-benzanthronylthioglycolic acid with brominating agents. The di bromo-Bz 1-benzanthronylthioglycolic acid can be used as an intermediate product for the production of dyes.
Example: 10 parts by weight of Bz 1-benzanthronylthio glycolic acid are intimately stirred after adding 0.1-0.2 parts by weight of sulfur with 60-70 parts by weight of bromine at ordinary temperature until the elimination of hydrogen bromide is complete. The reaction mixture is freed from excess bromine with the aid of inert organic solvents.
Dibromo-Bz 1-benzanthronylthioglycolic acid is an orange-yellow powder that dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with red, in dilute alkali with brown-orange color.
