Description

Process for the operation of electric bright annealing furnaces and the device for its implementation. In bright annealing furnaces, which are filled with hydrogen to protect the annealing material against oxidation and to reduce existing oxide layers during the annealing process and the cooling time, the disadvantage becomes noticeable that water vapor forms during the annealing process, which then forms the annealing material during cooling re-oxidized.

According to the invention, this disadvantage is partially eliminated in that the water vapor is removed from the furnace during the annealing process or after it has ended. The removal of the water vapor can be brought about by a cooling effect, by rinsing or a suitable circulation of the steam.

You can install special cooling chambers in the furnace, for example in the floor, which are cooled by water and in which the water vapor from the furnace is reflected. You can also lay cooling coils in the floor of the furnace chamber, but you must protect them against the effects of heat from the actual annealing zone, for example through masonry.

The figures show exemplary embodiments of a Blankgliihofens in which the water vapor is precipitated by the cooling effect.

In the furnace 1 shown in Fig. 1, which is surrounded by a gas-tight closing sheet metal jacket 2, the annealing material 8 is annealed. Cooling chambers 4, which are cooled by means of a cooling rod 5, are provided below the furnace floor. The water vapor is reflected in these cooling chambers and the water that is formed can flow through the pipe 6.

Fig. 2 shows a furnace in which a cooling coil 7 is built into the floor. The water that has been beaten down on it flows from this through pipes 8 and 9. Instead of cooling you can also get the water vapor out of it. remove it from the furnace by passing it through the furnace mixed with the protective gas, and heating the outlet openings to ensure that the water vapor does not dissipate. can knock down again. The heating of the gas outlet opening can be brought about by a special heating coil.

The removal of the water vapor can also be carried out by flushing with hydrogen. This purging can be effected by increasing the gas pressure after the annealing process has ended, or it can be avoided by increasing the amount of protective gas supplied during the cooling period,

by feeding the gas through one or more additional lines to the furnace during the cooling time respectively. is carried out.

In the process described above, the gas mixture is released into the open and is lost for further use. The arrangement can be made in such a way that the gas mixture is withdrawn from the furnace by means of a circulation pump and, after it has been freed from moisture, is fed back into the furnace. This has the advantage that the valuable protective gas is not lost.

Such a device is shown in Fig. 3. To the bright annealing furnace 1, which is surrounded by a protective jacket 2, a pipe 11 is connected at its deepest point 10, which leads to a circulation pump 12. This promotes the extracted grass and vapors through the template 13, which is filled with r-ineni for Retaining the vapors ge suitable substances 14, from where the protective gas is dried through the pipe 15 back into the furnace.
