Signaling device in the circuit of an electrical automobile tail lighting system. The present invention relates to a signaling device in the circuit of an electrical automobile rear lighting system for controlling the functioning of the rear lighting.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely: Fig. 1 shows an apparatus of the device in longitudinal section; Fig. 2 is a front view of this Appara tes seen from the left (Fig. 1), and Fig. 3 is a diagram of the electrical connections of the device.
On a housing 1, for example made of light metal, the front cover plate 2 is riveted to which the removable cover 3 provided with light openings is attached. Inside the housing is the iron jacket 4, in which the hollow iron core 5 is located. The hollow iron ring formed in this way is closed by the pressed-in iron ring 6, the inner diameter of which is approximately 5 mm larger than the core diameter, creating an annular field opening. The core soil is drilled through. In the bore is isolated the con tact sleeve 7, which in turn carries the contact spring 8; the purpose of which is to conduct the current from the sleeve 2 to the control lamp 9 and to press the latter against the cover 3, which is connected to "earth", that is to say to the second pole of the accumulator battery.
The remaining space of the housing is closed off by the insulating disk 10 and its length is precisely determined by the spacer ring 11. In this space, the armature 12 can move approximately 2 mm in its longitudinal direction. A contact guide pin 13 is riveted insulated in the armature. On one side, this bolt is easily moveable in the contact sleeve 7. The other end of the bolt carries a riveted contact pin made of, for example, silver.
The whole armature is pressed with this pin by a light spring 14 to the contact 15 ge. This contact is in turn conductively connected by a connecting plate 16 to the fuse holder 17 and the connecting terminal 18. Connection terminal 19 and protection holder 20 are in turn connected again to one end of the magnetic coil 21 located in the hollow iron ring. 22 is a two-ampere fuse, held by the two fuse holders 17 and 20.
The whole apparatus is usually attached to the apparatus board of the automobile, the housing being sunk into the board.
The mode of operation of the device described is, for example, the following: The section of the line coming from the panel is connected to terminal 18, while the section leading to the back lamp H is connected to terminal 19. If the circuit to the back lamp is now closed by switching on the panel, we have the following current flow in the apparatus: From panel T via connecting terminals 18 and connecting plates 16 to fuse holder 17 and at the same time to contact 15; further through the fuse 22 to fuse holder 20, from here through the solenoid 21 to terminal 19 and from this to the rear lamp. If the installation of the tail light is now completely in order, a current of approx. 1 ampere will flow through the line.
This is now strong enough to excite the electromagnetic coil 21 so strongly to pull the armature 12 into the dot-dash position. In this position, the connection between the bolt 13 and the connector is interrupted by the control lamp under power to clock 15, the control lamp 9 also being de-energized. If the line is now de-energized due to any defect (interruption in the line, poor contact, defective lightbulb), the magnet is also not excited. The anchor is therefore not attracted, where it comes and begins to glow, which can be perceived by the driver through the light openings of the cover 3.
Conversely, if there is a short circuit in the rear lamp line, which happens very often, the control device also indicates this, because in this case the fuse 22, which is only rated for two amperes, will blow, and the control lamp connected in front of the fuse , will also light up.
